This is an incredible game. It is way better than the guitar hero's of the pasts. I love the fact that they incorporate music videos into the game. It's also great to play in front of a live audience, rather than made up cartoon characters.

I use to play the old guitar hero and when this one came out I was pretty excited! It is really fun to play and I enjoy listening to the music while I play. It also came with some downloadable stuff that I haven't gotten to yet.

I liked it when when the guitars had colors versus the shapes. My son loves it, so is the most important.

Set up for 2 guitars was not as smooth as it should of been. Was mostly user error. Having a blast playing against my wife, even though she wins most of the time : / Nice quality build on guitars. Great buy!

If you love music and love to party the guitar hero is the game to get things started. This party pack included the game and two guitars for a great price. The guitars were easy to put together.

I purchased this because it was on sale and I needed a multi-player guitar like game as I owned Rocksmith and that's got its limitations. Was a great price and a good product to add to my gaming.

Just like the classic Guitar Hero, this one has been a lot of fun thus far. It is different from the original in that the fingering has changed - instead of going up and down the fret there are three strings on top and three on bottom, which takes some getting used to. Still fun and the graphics are spectacular. If you mess up the crowd (and fellow band members) start scowling at you - brilliant!

Kudos for new controls, but spirit is lacking

Of the original 3 Guitar Hero titles, the 3rd one was without rival and truly offered something for everyone from both a music and challenge perspective (anyone remember Through the Fire and Flames?). However, that was the only Guitar Hero title that truly retained the soul of the two original Harmonix games, in my opinion. Activision did a fine job with Guitar Hero 3, but it's been a downhill battle since with cash grab spinoffs and rehashing the same old.
I'll laud the company for the new control scheme with six buttons, as that was what convinced me to give this title a shot. Also, the idea of Guitar Hero TV seems to be a bit of a mixed bag. No longer do we have access to all songs of the base game on a whim (unless you're willing to pay for it ala a real life Jukebox). But, there is more of a "default" song selection now than ever and still certainly some fun to be had.
While the game is still fairly fun, it just doesn't quite have that same spirit of some of the older, classic, rhythm-action games, in my opinion.
