Sure, you can't use RB gear or play GHWT Downloads. Though when you play the actual game, you'll be blown away. The setlist, Expert Plus (yes, it works on Wii), difficulty, & Career Mode are enough to win you over. It's well worth the purchase.

This is what I've always wanted. Guitar Hero wouldn't be right without Metallica. Great songs of course. Fun to play. Now if we could only get a Guitar Hero Country...

This game is a must have for any Metallica fan. If you are not a Metallica fan, I would highly doubt this game would have any appeal to you (as you would probably expect). Guitar Hero and Metallica were a match that had to be made, and this game fully brings it to the user. Great songs, great fun... ENJOY!

The great and not-so-great says it all really... everything about the game was well done. You start out as Metallica, set up your "cover band", and continue to play Metallica's best hits and much more from other great bands, many of whom Metallica has covered. You don't really have to 'unlock' venues as in previous Guitar Hero's... just the more songs you play the more it gives you. Just got an advance copy of the game, played for three hours, and still had many more great songs to play. Do not try this game out to see if it's worth it, buy it! Don't think about it, just buy it! If you are a true Metallica fan, or if you just like the hits you will not be disappointed.

This is a great idea to get kids in to a hobby! It is much better than playing the regular guitar. This is the best idea since bubblegum!
