Best Tax Software I ever used

And since I file taxes for everyone in our family it pays for itself because it gives you 5 free filings with the IRS. The last two years I have purchased it at Best Buy using my Reward Points which makes it an even better deal.

Let the Buyer Beware

Normally, I purchase the combined federal and state deluxe program and the purchase offer from Best Buy usually pops up. Shame on me for not paying extra attention when I purchased online (it was the about the same cost). To purchase the state program was super expensive and then I had to pay extra to file electronically. I will be careful next time or switch to another program!

Best way to file your taxes

You can import your W2s from most employers making the job even easier. Prevent math errors, avoid audits and get your return faster (mine takes less than 2 weeks from filing every year)

Accurate

I like that they can import last year's return so you don't have to re-enter a lot of the same info so it saves a lot of time. I've found it to be accurate and take all deductions you're entitled to.

It is easy to use if you are new or experienced. I love that I can begin each year with the last year's filing so all the information is carried forward. It makes it fairly simple to complete and e-file.

Received Wrong Version of Software

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I ordered & paid for HR-Block Deluxe (with No State, NH does Not have State Income Tax), when I received my Online Code to Download the Tax Software, it downloaded the "Basic" Version and Not the Deluxe Version. I had to go thru multiple iterations of Phone Support between Best-Buy & HR-Block, (as each one initially blamed the other party and/or me for the Mixup), before I was able to convince them to use the specific "URL" that I was given in my E-Mail, and indeed it pointed them to the Basic Version as well.. I finally received an updated URL, which did point to the Deluxe Version of the HR-Block Tax Software. Now in the process of going thru a second Federal Update of the software, but does appear to be working OK.. As I can Not say with any Certainty as to whether the Incorrect URL was supplied by HR-Block or Best-Buy, I have rated the overall experience as 3 Stars..

NO MORE! As a Senior (81) H&R Block was easier to understand and, I discovered Deductions TT never ever mentioned. Quick and EZ, what's NOT to Like?

Deleted one star because it had a problem with me being over 65 and not collecting social security.
