The Zoom Handy Recorder is the perfect recording accessory for any occasion. Whether you are recording voice memos, personal interviews or live music. The sound quality is superb. The light weight and compact design make it easy to take on the go. And the USB adapter allows you to download all your recordings to a lap top or personal computer to edit at a later time.

While recording an outside musical show, the recorder worded at capacity, without distortion or breakups. I would like to see a larger version for even better and broader quality recordings. A small stand with adapter as to be placed inside the music area, orchestra or band, and the larger one outside the area for overall sound. A way to sync the recorders with a remote would work wonders as well.

This product works great! It's easy to use and picks up clear audio!

Handy and portable.. I was told to buy this by my videographer.. its awesome because I can buy the lapel attachment and use it to record great audio with the lapel mic. Sometimes the Rode mic is huge and you can't take it into something like.. a situation where you need to wear a discreet mic.

I am not experienced with microphones and don't have the money to buy anything real expensive. I started off with this because it gave my videos a more professional style. You can mess around with the input output volume. It has a lot of settings and easy to use. Buy this if your a beginner

I bought this to use to record audio while filming video. It works well for that purpose. It doesn't have XLR inputs like the higher end units do, but it's also much cheaper than those units. It does have a 3.5mm input for very basic microphones. It's also not very compact, so it's probably not best for hidden recordings. If you're looking to get better audio than what your camera's microphone can capture, and you don't need to input a professional microphone, this is the unit for you.

There are definitely better quality recorders out there, but for the cost of this one it is perfect.

Is a good device and i have no problem with it but i think is a little expensive

This is essential to pair with a lapel mic if you're shooting videos or vlogging.

So small and audio with a cheap lav is incredible. Don't forget to push that "hold" button over before handing it to the groom. You may or may not lose your first look audio. (I might have experience with this firsthand. ;) ) I'll be buying two more soon.

I used the Zoom for recording the audio of a video production of a variety show. My camera was near the back of auditorium and I placed the Zoom near the center of the stage. I was then able to use this recording instead of the camera's audio with better results.

I use this for interviews and weddings. It has not let me down yet.

Bought this to add some sound files to picture presentations. Recorded about an hour of sounds from a civil war reenactment. When I got home and tried to use the sound files, all I heard was wind noise. My hour of recordings of canons, guns, pipers, drummers and vocals were useless. I ordered a "dead cat" noise filter, on line, to place over the mics and tried recording outside in the wind again. The "dead cat" worked wonders and I had usable sound files. This is a nice recorder for the price, but I would suggest you get a "dead cat", or other noise reduction filter to place on the mics if using outdoors.

It is actually my first recorder and i love it... I used it to mic up the groom and the officiant. worked amazing. Im sure ill eventually upgrade to one of the nicer ones but this literally had zero flaws and great audio quality.
