good a/c, haven't used heater yet

Only issue is that it doesn't have a auto function for the fan - just always blows hi/med/low as you have it set. It should auto slow down or even shut off if the thermostat so indicates.

Not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After days of intensive research between a portable AC unit and a window unit, I decided to go with the Haier HPN12XCM for several reasons: portability (able to move it to another room if needed), ease of set-up, quietness, and the ability to cool fast. After spending about an hour jury-rigging it to fit jalousies, I turned it on and it was LOUD. I mean airplane engine loud. So I turned the fan speed down to the lowest setting and it was still loud. Once the room got cool enough though, the compressor turned off and with the fan speed still on low, the noise level was manageable. However, once the compressor turned back on, it got really loud again. The room that it was set up in is approximately 11.5 ft by 18.5 ft and I had it set up at one end of the room and I had a TV running at the other end of the room and when the compressor kicked in, I couldn't even hear the TV. After about 20 minutes of running it, I decided that I couldn't live with the noise level so I dismantled the window kit and packaged it up to return. Note that even though it said it has an internal evaporation function so no drainining needed, after running it for a total of 20 minutes, it leaked water all over the place when I moved it. I give it 2 stars since it did manage to cool the room down fast.

I try to set temperature to low but it still happen . Haier sent to me another one after 4 weeks . The new come with same problem . I try to set temperature F to C ac working but after 20 minuter breaker 20A shut off . I try to install a new circuit 15A from panel direct to Haier . same happen . Haier ac about 11A . What happen with Haier Ac and heat
