I bought 6 Haiku L fans width the WiFi module and love the design. Slim, quiet, and beautiful. But not as smart as it should be.
The app lets you control the fan and light using your phone but only works if you are connected to your home WiFi.
You cannot control them remotely when you are away from home.
Also, the app will not let Nest control the fan unless you have the SenseMe wall control unit which is not offered by the company anymore.
Finally, the lack of Google home support forces you to get Alexa if you want to control the functions using voice commands.

I've had the Haiku for one week now and I'm quite pleased. Install went smooth and everything worked right away. Connecting the fan to my wifi was straight forward and worked immediately.
The remote the fan comes with is small, but works fine. I really like having the app on my phone to control the fan. There are seven speed settings for the fan and the light dims.

I researched all energy efficient fans as we are off-grid solar powered. Haiku fans with led lights met all our criteria. We have wide temperature variations from night to day and these fans help keep us from using heat and ac.
