This is probably one of the Coen Bros. more lighter films since Raising Arizona. It's a love note to Hollywood's Golden Age, with fine performances all around.

The movie started out slow. I actually stop watching it, but resumed watching a couple days later. The movie actually kept my interest in the second half.

Stays firmly in slow methodical drama, needs more risk taking. Tatum takes me out of it, Clooney doesn't bring me back in. Interesting plot, doesn't go anywhere.

It's a stretch, fairly weak premise, mildly funny, good cast, I'll lend you mine if you want to watch it. If you're a fan of Brolin or Clooney, it's okay.

A memory visit to the days and ways of Old Hollywood of the 40s and 50s era. Plenty of comedy by great cast in the middle of various social commentary and depiction of Political hunt on Communists , Gossip columns , the back door day to day of Movie Moguls.

Another Fantastic offering by the inimitable Cohen Bros! Fabulous cast, outrageous send-up of tinsel-town in the golden era of cinema. Singin' & Dancin' and Swim Extravaganzas set against noir-esque back-lot intrigues and blacklist politics. Total Fun!

I love the actors, the period aspect, was entertained by the story, and surprisingly let down by this movie. It just wasn't as good as the sum of it's parts.

This movie has its moments when it pokes fun of the oldies of movies back in the day, but at same time it takes place in different direction with communism.

Honestly, I didn't like this movie at all. A lot of great actors, but I personally just couldn't get into it. It was too dry and cheesy for my liking.

Liked the actors in it. The movie was ok to watch the first time but I would not watch it again. Had some boring scenes and some funny scenes in it.

This movie had me laughing out loud. It gives a little bit of insight to how Hollywood used to be while at the same time being a little absurd, because it is a comedy not a documentary. It definitely is a movie I can watch again and again.

Went to see this movie in the theatre. This was the time when diversity was an issue. Only saw one African-American actor in the movie. Enjoyed the movie a lot and had to get the disc to watch it again and for the extras. Was not disappointed.

I saw the hype for this and missed it in theaters so bought the Blu-ray hoping for a movie on the same level as O Brother Where Art Thou...which it kept being compared to, and with George Clooney and all the other stars in it I thought it must be on par with that other hit, right? Wrong. This movie was so bad and slow I fell asleep watching it. I started it back again the next night to watch the rest and it was really just not entertaining at all.

The main reason I bought this movie is that a friend that I went to high school with played as an extra in this movie. But after watching the movie I realized that I really liked this movie. Lots of good actors and get ready to laugh
