Favourite Damian Marley album
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although Welcome to Jamrock was an AMAZING album, I can't help but to list Damian's earlier album as my favourite. There isn't one track on this album that I feel the need to skip, but there are a ton that I feel I need to replay, so it usually takes me about a day to listen to the entire thing. It's nice that all of the songs on the album also have substance to them and aren't just soley based on s3x or drugs, even though both are mentioned on the album, it's in a different way than you would expect. Damian also goes on to talk about some politics and his faith in Rastafari, which is inspiring to say the least. Damian Marley has had a big impact on my life and it started with this album (for me. there's also his first album Mr. Marley to consider), and has continued on in his next works as well, especially in his collaboration album with Nas entitled "Distant Relatives." Key tracks? It's hard to say, but the ones I find myself listening to most often are "Halway Tree," "Paradise Child," "More Justice," "It Was Written," & "Stand a Chance/And Be Loved." I encourage everyone to pick up a copy of Halway Tree. If anything it has some catchy beats and as always, the Marley boys know how to make a your hips move. One Love.
