This is a very good game, i VERY highly recommend getting it if you haven't already. Very good story line, and insane graphics, plus DLC (downloadable content) such as maps. In a nutshell, a must have!

Closing Comments The campaign, which is very good, is Halo 3's weakest point. It doesn't capture the cavalier spirit of the original Halo, but you'll still have fun playing through it. There's no first-person shooter on 360 that can equal Halo 3's blend of cinematic action, adrenaline-pumping shootouts, and male- (and female)-bonding gameplay. Look beyond the gameplay and you have a rich feature set unlike anything ever delivered in a videogame. The Forge and the replay functionality raise the bar for console shooters so high, it may never be surpassed this generation. There will be plenty of aspects for fans to nitpick, but it's hard to argue against Halo 3 as the most complete game available on any console.

Halo 3 is one of the most entertaining first-person shooters to date. The new vehicles and weapons available throughout the single player story line provides for hours (literally) of entertainment. The implementation of items (e.g. the Bubble Shield, Flare, etc.) enhance the single player game play. The one problem I had with the single player was how short the single player story was. The big redeemer in Halo 3 is the online multi-player support. Not only does Xbox live allow players to test their skills against one another, but it provides for hours and hours of entertainment of game play. Definitely a game worth taking a look at if you've enjoyed the previous games in the series and are a fan of the first-person shooter genre.

This game is hands down the most addicting game I've ever played. If you want a game that won't take that long to beat in campaign but will hold you captive for months on end in xbox live, buy Halo 3.

This game exceded my expectations and more. The online play is the most fun experience you could have playing a game. Whether youre a hard core gamer or dont play at all this game has something for everyone. The xbox live part of this game keeps you on the 360 for hours apon hours. Its the deepest most fun multiplayer and online game that has ever hit consoles. The campaign mode is once again enthralling and leaves you on the edge of your seat. The only bad thing about this game is the backtracking in campain mode which has improved since the first two installments but is still present. that and the friends and work you will miss because of the amount of time youll be playing this Buy this game!

Great game, not a great ending, great story, not a great ending to the series. Great online, very competitivie and the addition with dlc never gets old. If you buy this get the mytic map pack :)

I have bought and played GTA4 and Gears of War 2 and all the other games that were 'Must Have' games. I play them, and don't get me wrong, they're good, but HALO 3 is GREAT. I played gears 2 for two days and then my senses got the better of me and i went back to halo 3... Halo 3 has the best online play interface over any other game. GTA4 online is AWEFUL, Gears 2 online is pretty bad... quake wars online is... again bad... But Halo 3 online is fast, easy to understand and Fun. Achievements, medals... party play... Almost every three months Bungie/Microsoft release new levels for the multiplayer experience, so its never boring... just buy it, get addicted to something great, HALO 3.

this game is amazingly fun for both campaign mode and for the multiplayer online game. The forge area online gives you limitless possibilities to create your own maps and secrets in those maps.

When i first got this game i instantly thought it was the greatest funnest game. Sure it got little less fun after hours of playing but im still not bored with this game. The story mode was good and fun on co op. Forge and theater really add a little extra to this game. I also enjoy being able to customize your armor. Some of the new maps (High ground, the pit) are crazy good and with forge you can make them even better. The first time you play this game online you'll find it hard to put the controller down. I've had it since september and still play it without getting bored. with all the weapons,vehicles,maps,gametypes,custom games, its hard to get bored with this game,.

The campaign is very fun, but seemed kinda short to me, but upping the difficulty and adding skulls makes it more enjoyable. Multiplayer, on the other hand, is where this game truly shines.

Halo 3 is a dolled up halo 2. The same old look on an updated system. Bungie failed while still making a great game. Halo should of been a homerun on a swing for the fences type of swing but it wasnt a triple at best. some new things like the videos the hammer and all but graphic wise from the a whole it should of been better it is brought out on a new system being the 360 so the developers should of really upgraded the game in a whole. Halo was huge and great for the xbox but for the 360 it can not compete with gears of war who took it to a new level..

I really love this game ive been a loyal halo gamer since halo 1 the graphics and the multiplay is awesome the story line is short but the thing that makes up for that is the multiplay

What a game... I'm still playing it pretty "hard-core" and am still loving it. Overall I found it to be an epic game that I am still and going to be (for a while) addicted to. The gameplay is quit impressive and adds a solid number of weapons to the collection as well as a few extra cool grenade-like weapons that allow provide an extra shield, a shield regenerator and air lifting. Those are very helpful, though a little tough to get used to. 'Not to mention the extra vehicles... There is now a little 4-wheeler which is a TON of fun. They could easily make a racing game type in Halo 3 which I would personally LOVE playing. I don't think it goes any faster than any other vehicle in the game, but it's (small) size makes it look like your goin a hundred miles an hour around the maps. I thought the campaign was good. It had a great amount of detail and was a fair deal of fun. HOWEVER, it was WAY too short. I think I only got a good 5 hours of solid game-play out of the campaign... Though I have to admit, you could probably compound that a few times if you are intent on finding all of the hidden skulls and achievements without any help. The multiplayer aspect is much more fun, but can be much more frustrating. I have an excellent internet connection (topples most of the "average" internet connections - according to bandwidth tests) and still have some troubles with lag. I have spent a great deal of my life playing games and can confidently say I know the difference between lag problems and being a newb... And in Halo 3, even with a GREAT internet connection, I constantly find that I am (one) not getting assigned the game host and (two) getting fouled on some kills that I should have gotten due to lag issuess. There are a few OTHER things I would like to note about the game which I think help it make the best of the year... (one) The Forge - This is a part of the game that allows you to modify the maps that are played by being able to place weapons, equipment and vehicles anywhere you want in the map. I have not had a great deal of experience with this yet, but find it as a neat add-on that I might get into when I get a little more bored with the game (a couple years from now). (two) The Theatre - This allows you to go and watch previous games that have been played and take recordings and screenshots. This is really fun and allows you to share your moments of excellence with the rest of the world. If you catch a glitch, you can rewind in the theatre and see how it happened and show everyone else, too! (three) The ranking has changed a bit for online play. Now, you have badges on top of your actual ranked match ranking that are associated with you based on your experience (the number of games you win). This "ranking" exists whether or not you play in ranked matches or not. It's kind of a way to tell how experienced of players your up against. I have seen a few people lately with the "Major" ranking hitting something like 300+ games won. It definately helps keep you in the game shooting to get the next badge. Despite the few problems I have with the game (which will hopefully get resolved one day by Bungie), I love the game and can't stop playing it. It is challenging & intriguing and marvles other games in its genre. Recommended HANDS DOWN.

I really liked this game, the graphics are intense, and the gameplay is really fun. I would recommend the game to anyone who likes 1st person shooters. Its also a great co-op game.

Game looks incredible, but I have not played it yet ... still in transit. Just a reminder, double check your shipping. I ordered this for the free expedited shipping (saving myself a 10 minute drive). Unfortunately BestBuy.com recorded it as standard shipping (4x as long). I called them to correct it but they claim that once the order goes to the warehouse they can not change the shipping. I'm probably going to pick it up at a local store over the weekend and return this order to BB. Just a tip to check the delivery date on your order.

great...just amazing...so i bought all of the halo's and there great games. the new one has even beter graphics and story line. the maps could be better but this is a great game!

This game is the best game ever. If you don't have it go and get it. If you don't have xbox 360 go and buy it to play it. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is off the hook.

This game will go down in history! No matter what you read on other reviews the numbers do not lie. This game broke the all time entertainment sales record for one day ($170 mill +) and a one week total of over $300 mill. The masses do not lie! The campaign is a little short but makes up for it in challenge and story. Where this game's strength is in the online game play. I would recommend this game to anyone that likes a good first person shooter and like a challenge! This is my all time favorite game and I have played a lot of games starting in 1979. I expect a game in the future will dethrone Halo 3, but for now this one reigns supreme!

Good game over all, little short in the campain but co-op play is great. Graphics are really good. New vehicles are a blast to use. I recommend the game for new and old Halo fans.
