Best Halo Co-op experience yet!

As stated, this is the best you can get for a Halo Co-op experience yet. To that though, the co-op is over the xbox live connection only, and not on the same system, as it would not be possible for the experience to maintain 60fps through or as close as it does to it, if it were shared on the same console. The multiplayer feels more epic and tighter than ever. To this, the story is very lacking, and shorter than expected, with an abrupt ending. The extras included are very much worth the cost.

Halo 5 not including split screen was really disappointing, but the amazing campaign and multiplayer make up for it missing.

Story while good is unsatisfying.
REQ system is poorly explained and confusing.
Respawn cooldowns are WAY too long.
Removal of all but 4v4 from arena makes the mode less attractive no longer any multi team or big team events.
Smart link is unnecessary and gets in the way.
No forge mode unlikely to be a replacement for the master chief collection for insane rules games with friends.
Controls are very nearly perfect .

Solid Multiplayer, Single Player Story...

The multiplayer is solid. The gameplay is fantastic. While the matchmaking via skill still needs work, finding matches is fast & the online experience is silky smooth.
The campaign's story does leave a bit to be desired. It doesn't really play off Halo 4's story much & kind of diverts into another thing. The biggest issue is that ** Begin Spoiler ** you do not play as Master Chief for most of the game! ** End Spoiler **
The drop in & drop out of coop play in the Campaign is pretty cool though.

I grew up with Halo. First one came out when I was 14 and was some of the most fun I've had in video gaming to this day. Halo has been consistently throwing me great campaigns since (barring ODST but we're gonna give them a mulligan on that one), so much so that I cried at the end of Halo 4. Guardians, which was said was gonna be epic and twice the length as 4, was being waited for months before it came out. It wasn't worth it. The campaign was weak, short, and anticlimactic. With little to no replay value other than to stroke my ego and find all the secret items, I finished the campaign the same day as release. I was extremely disappointed with the ending, with little to no lead up or climax, a short cut scene, and abrupt credits roll. The lack of interest in any of the characters didn't help, with none of them talking much let alone having personalities.
The saving grace was multiplayer. While I hate games that can't stand on their own with a campaign, Halo 5 shined through with its multiplayer. Solid gameplay, a major change on dynamics of matches, and the add in of the REQ system is a welcome change. The REQ cards relate strongly to Titanfalls card system, and the multiplayer feels a lot like Destiny's arena. But the matchmaking and design is excellent.
In short, leave the campaign behind. You won't care about anyone in it, except for your nostalgia of Chief. Just dive into multiplayer, hit the ground running, and get those kills Spartan.

Halo 5 makes some of the most meaningful changes the Halo franchise has ever seen. The solo campaign is great, co-op is even better, and the new Warzone multiplayer game type is something new and exciting among the typical FPS game types.
As far as the collector's edition goes, its pretty much for suckers like me that think steel boxes are cool. The Warzone REQ bundle included gives you a nice kickstart in game too.

I love the game itself. Campaign was fun, Multiplayer is a blast! Loving every aspect of the game itself. However, Best Buy dropped the ball when it came to my pre-order bonus. I still have not received the email with the code after 1 week. It said it would be delivered on release day. Now, I've already wasted a REQ Pack collecting one of the pieces I should have already had from this preorder.. very lame. I feel like BB has done this to me before, too.

I have been a diehard Halo fan since the first game. I not only enjoy the multi-player, but absolutely love the story and campaigns of the games as well. This was a great continuation of the story of Master Chief, his search for Cortana, and the new character Spartan Locke, whose team is hunting down Master Chief for treason! Great game and looking forward to the MP as well!

Halo continues it's story with a different approach. Solo/Co-op with up to 4. Although this is a nice feature, 343 Studios missed out on a chance to pair random strangers willing to play with other strangers, as in Black Ops 3. But if you have 3 other friends willing to campaign with you, great. The gameplay is smooth, but the story is short and it leaves you hanging for more story. Perhaps there's a Halo 5: Spartans in the works?

I've been a Halo fan since it first arrived on the Xbox console. I have bought all Halo games since then. Halo 5 has a fun multiplayer feel and the campaign is really well made. Besides a few glitches here and there, I think the main problem with the campaign was the depth of the story and length. I felt like it had a rushed story. Still a fun game though, especially Arena.

The story continues as you play Master Chief who is in search of Cortana.. The game is takes you on missions with 2 sides of the story. Master Chief and Spartan Locke.
The new gameplay is unreal and graphics was improve to be more shiny and vibrant 3D. All the features and controls are still there too. It is a must buy game for this year especially for the HALO fans....

Halo 5: Guardians is a great follow up to Halo 4. The MP is fantastic, they did a great job in listening to feedback from Halo 4 and changing a lot of things to make it more like previous halos. On the SP side the story was decent. If you don't pay attention to the marketing hype than you will probably enjoy it. It does pull a Halo 2 and end on a cliff hanger that sets up the next game but that is not a surprising move.

I really wanted this Halo to be the complete package, but it really isn't. The campaign is decent at best, but the multiplayer is really where it stands out. The feeling of 60fps really does make it seem more fast paced and intense even if the graphics have to suffer a bit to make it happen. Oh, and no Big Team Battle at launch really sucks.

In our family we are big Halo fans! We collect all Halo items. We play Halo campaign and multiplayer. This is another great chapter in the Halo timeline. The campaign is non stop action and different scenery and various things to do. The multiplayer is great. Yes, I would recommend this to family and friends! hunt the truth - do not be fooled by ONI ! :)

I knew it was going to be good, but not THAT good! Graphics, amazing! Love the game play, especially the control that you have over your team during the campaign missions. War zone and Arena game play with the new REQ system took a moment to get used to, but easy to get the hang of. This game far exceeded my expectations, as I hoped that it would!

I pre-ordered and Best Buy delivered to my home the day of launch, so well done Best Buy. The game itself has been good so far. Campaign has been fun (half way through) and multiplayer has functioned w/o issue. New multiplayer modes have been fun as well. Things feel different than previous Halo editions and I had a steep learning curve on the multiplayer. However now it is becoming quite enjoyable.
