This is 2015 & everyone is looking at everything so that they can complain. Internet tough guys (and girls) that are unhappy no matter what & all they do is complain. I however, am not one of those type of fellows. I'm a 37yr old father of 3 (all boys) that's been playing video games since the Atari 2600 days of the early 80's. I've played thousands of games on just about every system that's come out in the last 30+yrs. When it comes to gaming there's only 1 thing I care about, is it fun? If it's fun to play then that's all that matters, period. At the end of the day Halo 5 is an excellent game that I find to be fun, so far. I've completed the campaign & really enjoyed the focus on co-op as well being able to issue basic commands to your ever present squad. I've only scratched the surface on multiplayer but so far it's been a blast. There's a ton of new things they put in & a ton of series staples they just left alone or polished. 343 has done some amazing work & had some awfully big shoes to fill when they took the franchise from Bungie. Give it a try & if it's fun, you won!

It's been many years since I played video games as my last system was a PS3, but having heard about Halo for the last decade or so, I picked this compilation up to try it out. I'm glad I did because the updated graphics (for the first two games) give it an awesome look and modern feel for a game that is almost 20 years old! I got really sucked into the game play and now I purchased the two games that didn't come with this comp to have all of them accessible on one screen. I haven't even tried the multiplayer yet as I want to finish all the campaigns before I do. If you like first person shooter games where you can pilot an aircraft or vehicle on occasions, then there's no reason why you wouldn't enjoy the heck out of this game. Highly recommended!

The game looks great. It's one of the best looking Xbox One games out now. Unfortunately, the story and gameplay of the single player campaign is mediocre at best, and somewhat of a drag to finish. The multiplayer redeems the experience, as controls are tight and responsive.

The campaign was enjoyable, but brief. Could have used a few more missions to flesh out Team Osiris. Online co-op has never been more enjoyable in Halo. Offline co-op, however, is... nonexistent. I love the multiplayer, but I dislike the selection of maps. They have no variety and no identity. The campaign takes us to three beautiful locations, I would love to see those assets reworked into some good maps for future DLC. The most fun I've had in Halo 5's multiplayer so far has been in Warzone. Using equipment you obtain through requisition packs, two teams of 12 fight for control of a large battlefield. All-in-all, I'm enjoying the gameplay mechanics, and surprisingly even the requisition pack reward system, but the game needs more content, and soon. I've only been playing for a week and I've already grown weary of all the maps arena has to offer. 343 has promised monthly content updates, so here's hoping they keep good on their word.

The graphics are amazing. The new weapons and actions are cool. However, one of the big things about Halo has always been the split screen. No split screen is disappointing, but the game is still tons of fun. I just started in on the multiplayer and it seems as good as ever.

Probably a better game if the campaign is played multiplayer (like the Halo 4 DLC campaign.) Solo is okay, but I find myself doing most of the work and my teammates not doing so much except when flanking is required (for which the AI knows to take a pair of the squad around a different path than you're going.) Its a fine addition to the Halo series, but I'm no more impressed by the story than I was with Halo 4 and less so than I was with Halo 3. And though the graphics and terrain are much sharper and more detailed, its sometimes hard to notice as fast as you're moving through it. The vehicles seem to be used more as mode of transport between distant areas than weaponry, which is a let down compared to previous games in the series. On the bright side, many of the firefights occur in much larger areas than before, relying on more natural elements for cover instead of tight little rooms with artificial pillars providing the cover.

I had a blast doing the campaign. The story is great and the multiplayer is addicting. I was terrible at first because I had been used to a CoD style of gameplay, but quickly adapted to the intricacies of Halo combat. I had been out of the series for a while. Must buy.

The campaign was fun, maybe a little too short but I guess it will have to do. The graphics and face models and voice acting is really nice. I like the changes to the multiplayer systems and requisition packs are fun to open but seem a little bit of a grind to achieve.

I was really worried this was going to be as big of a train wreck as Halo 4. This is arguably my favorite franchise, and 4 made my soul hurt. Luckily, 343i redeemed themselves a good deal with 5. It's still not perfect, let me very clear on that. But, it is a very enjoyable game nevertheless. I've gone through on Legendary with some friends and Normal solo, and I liked the story a lot. They really stepped it up this time around. However, I liked the story in 4, but they both share the same fatal flaw. 343i still has a long way to go in terms of story pacing. The best way I can sum it up is that it's almost like listening to a young excitable child try and tell a story. All of that said, the multiplayer is super fun. Especially additions like Breakout and Warzone. Already made several new play-pals through these modes. I've really enjoyed the MP in a way I haven't in who knows how long. TLDR; pick it up. It's money well spent over all. Greatest game ever? No. It's Halo. You know that. But, at the same time, it's Halo.

Well, the multiplayer is great. It feels like a mix between Titanfall, Halo 3, and CoD; so there is no going wrong with it. The performance ranking is a nice addition as well, basically let's you trash talk your friends for being below an x rank. Breakout is by far my most favorite game mode, but that is because I grew up with Arena styled shooters. *SPOILERS COMING UP* Now the story. The trailers and the ad campaign has painted a completely different image from what you are expecting the game to be, and what it actually is. Osiris is not out to kill the Chief, they want to capture him alive. Cortana has been given an evil role just to be, well, evil. The Guardian ships are very closely resembling Reapers from Mass Effect; and the cliffhanger ending is just as bad as Halo 2. With all that aside though, the campaign is still fun to blast through, and the four player co-op makes it even better.

Besides the bad spawns in multiplayer, overall the game is quite amazing. Good graphics 60 fps, some of the original halo feel to it just smoother. Legendary mode is an actual challenge, and multiplayer ranking system is pretty unique. Overall i enjoy the game!

I'll be honest... I wasn't sure about this game for the first few days. I've been a Halo fan from the very beginning, and there have been certain things I always expected from a Halo game. When 343 released Halo 4, it took some adjusting, but they kept true to the core fundamentals of Halo. Right away, Halo 5 is very different. Pacing and weapon balancing have been tweaked. I actually wasn't a fan at first, and thought I was going to be trading the game away soon. But I gave it some time, and now I LOVE the game. I love that Team Slayer offers you a ton of different ways to attack your opponent... it helps the online mode feel more unique from game to game. Warzone is also a great mode. It does bother me that we don't have Big Team Battle and some other multiplayer modes... but hopefully those will be patched in eventually. Overall, I absolutely recommend the game. I'm sure there are some traditional Halo purists that will have their complaints, but I think most gamers will love it.

Story is short but really cool. Graphics are neat and really show the power of next gen. The multiplayer is comparable to halo 4 in style, but it also relates to halo reach in customization and level fun. This game is awesome, the installing was kinda slow, But its a all round fun game.

Huge fan of halo series. This one was different. The story was a bit tough to follow since i've only mostly played the games. It was fun but really disappointing that I couldn't use split screen like other halo games. The new controls and multiplayer are awesome. So fluid and very fun.

Halo 5 has, undoubtedly, some of the best level design in the Halo franchise, and it makes most FPS games look like chumps in comparison. Levels are massive with a ton of verticality, allowing for many ways to approach the enemy. Halo 5 also sports the best multiplayer the franchise has seen since Halo 2 back in 2004. Polished and running well, Halo 5 doesn't suffer from early launch issues that many other multiplayer games have. Warzone, in addition to the standard PvP modes, will have me coming back for more for years to come. This is the multiplayer that Halo players have been yearning for since Halo 2's servers went offline. In terms of storyline, I've got to say, I really dig where they're taking the story. While the ending's a bit of a cliffhanger, it takes Halo in new & exciting directions that I can't wait to see what lays ahead for this great gaming franchise. Buy Halo 5 if you like great games. If you don't, you might like Destiny.

It is definitely a good game and has a good story, but not a great story. The early halo stories are definitely the best, but where this game shines is the revamped multiplayer. Warzone is a lot of fun and worth buying the game to experience.

Excellent game with great multiplayer and storyline. Controls feels smoother than previous Halo games and 4 player co-op is an awesome experience if you can round up the crew. Halo 5 is a surefire hit that will help Xbox One regain some control over the gaming community.

Halo has always been a go to game for Xbox, and now even more than ever. Great graphics and resolution. Storyline is great, but you will get lost if you haven't been in tune with halo since day 1. Only complaint would be to bring spilt screen back for co-op missions
