So far this game is absolutely amazing. 343 industries has not disappointed so far. Graphics and game play are awesome and understanding more of the master chief story is great. Only downfall is no co-op on campaign yet

Pros: Not much to say, more great Halo action with updated graphics.
Cons: Didn't go on forever and campaign seems very short!!
Overall Review: Lives up to the standards of past Halo games (the great one).

I think I am about 75% through the campaign and its been great! The story is fantastic and I've probably played for about 15 hours so far. I haven't focused on the side objectives to much or anything yet.

I love how they made this game sorta like an open world game. Its something different compared to other games which I feel is a good direction for the franchise.

Good too see the old art style return to halo. The gameplay (with the new grappling hook) had me playing non stop thru the story and the open world section. Side quests which include saving marines to improve your valor, upgrade the chiefs abilities, the high value targets (bosses that will essentially unlock weapons for you whenever you want to change your load out) were refreshing new aspects to halo, yet get a little repetitive after doing so many. The graphics look like a 360 game at times but honestly with how fun this games gameplay is it’s in the back burner. The story was just okay, I wish I could’ve seen some beloved characters return in this game and make an impact, crossed fingers for future campaign dlc. Regardless I feel this a big step in the right direction for my personal favorite video game franchise!

Fun version with great graphics. Run on a Xbox One X. Only complaint is that there is no Co-op for the campaign and the campaign seemed too easy to finish. Didn't take long enough

Being a huge halo fan may have me biased, but don’t listen to the hate for this game. The campaign is good and the multiplayer is great. It’ll improve and people will be happy

Finally get a new halo that feela like the original 3, some good improvements with the grappling hook and over all an enjoyable experience. They still cant get the story to be as good. The old versions made Master chief feel like the best out there. Here he is not seen at the same level, you feel like you have to prove yourself. The original he really is the master. And everyone treats him that way.

So far so good. I haven’t finished the campaign yet but I really like it so far. The game looks great and plays well. The multiplayer is fun and they’re adding more modes in future updates

I’ve always been a fan of the franchise, and this is Halo through and through. The campaign is expansive and beautiful, and the multiplayer is some of the best I’ve played in a while!

Halo has had it fairly rough the past few years, with the terrible TV series, the Master Chief collection issues, and just generally forgettable games after Reach, and it's sad to say that this is the best Halo game in quite some time, and that's not saying much. I get why Microsoft demands more titles being released, as this is their premiere flagship title for Xbox, easily a system seller since it's inception in 2001, but this game should serve as a reminder to maybe get new developers on board. The story is familiar, the graphics and gameplay are familiar (with a few newer touches, mainly the retractable hook attachment) and everything just seems like cozy fan service. It's not a bad game per se, but it's just very, very afraid of leaving their comfort zone, especially after Halo 5 did that with their story. But at least take a chance and do something more interesting here Microsoft and 343. At least the multiplayer mode is fun, but the micro transactions are not worth playing more than a few rounds, but at least you don't need the physical or digital copy to play the multiplayer, since it's free out the gate. Honestly, if you can grab this game for cheap, like say sub $20 like I did ($14.99 is a solid price), it's not terrible, it's just rather rote and pedantic. At least last and new gen players on Xbox can play this, and that's about the highest praise I can give.

This game is great and quite a different spin on the usual Halo experience. This game is based in an open world environment where you can play in a huge map full of quests, enemies, and secrets. Equipped with a grappling hook, you can explore cliffs and caves with ease.

I was suppose to get this last year for Christmas. It was well worth the wait. Have been a Halo fan from the first game. The graphics keep getting better and the story line is great.

The fact that I want more is a good thing. The single player campaign is amazing and feels ridiculously fun to play. Some will complain that there isn't enough here and that the story doesn't feel finished, but I disagree. This is obviously the beginning of a new saga and it never pretends to be anything other than that. Sure, there are a lot of loose ends and unanswered questions, but they didn't leave me disappointed, they left me wanting more. The multiplayer is free to play so all I'll say is that it's great, but it again needs more content. It's coming, but if all you want is multiplayer, you'll want to wait.

Halo is back and it's better than ever. Multiplayer mode is awesome and the campaign/story is pretty on point too. I think Halo is pretty much my favorite video game overall.

This Halo brought back its FPS roots. I wish the story was more involved, but it's better than Halo 5 was. A must have for any FPS fan and graphically is great on the Series X. A nice long campaign that I felt was chalked on normal difficulty.

I am really enjoying the campaign mode It seems new, and fresh. Haven't had a chance to enjoy the multiplayer mode yet. The multiplayer does look to be a next generation gaming experience. Unfortunately myself and many of my friends have yet to receive the preorder DLC.
