If you are like me and you don't like to sip your coffee through a travel mug lid unless you are actually traveling, this makes the perfect addition to your Ember travel mug. It is expensive for what it is, but it is high quality, and doesn't seam to have anything like drips or froth sticking to it the way drinking straight out of a mug normally does. Super easy to put on, take off, and clean. If you are like me with not liking lids on your coffee while at your desk, I do recommend it. Note though, without the lid, your Ember mug has to work harder to keep your coffee hot, and thus the battery does drain faster. I have a charging coaster on my desk that makes this a moot issue.

If you have the travel mug and want to use it at home without the lid, this is the perfect piece to have. It's a bit pricey for what it is. One caution. If you pass the "max" line, the the lid gets VERY hot (with black tea, for instance).

Great lid. Works perfectly. Allows liquid to efficiently fall from the plastic cup to your mouth. It's also a perfect item to ask yourself, 'why the hell didn't this come already engineered onto the d@mn cup to begin with?!'. The answer to which, is...because they could charge you more for it separately. And we are gullible enough to buy it.

This is a must have for your Ember travel mug. I like being able to just drink my coffee as if it were a regular mug. I don’t like the settling of coffee on the travel lid it could be just me being coffee weird- LOL

I can't imagine using the travel mug without this added ring. I like the top that came with the mug, but really want this for in-the-house use. Very handy!!

Nice, ceramic piece adds to the usefulness of the travel mug. Great for tea, when aroma is otherwise occluded with the included travel lid.

Good add on for my ember mug, if you are not using it on the go, it works great and easy to clean

I have both the Ember mug and the travel tumbler and one thing I really feel I'd miss while on the go is the "open cup experience". This halo lid fits both on top of the tumbler cup and on the leak-free lid that comes with it, which makes it easier to carry. Also the ceramic feel is much more enjoyable to drink from than the plastic one and when you are not in an environment you need the close lid, you can enjoy drinking from it open, comfortably and truly feel the aroma! Amazing addition to my travel mug!

The lid works great. I wish it had a top cover. I’m not sure of the purpose of this item.

This is good for your mug if you like having a full round lid rather than a single spout. Also, gives you the ability to add a bit more liquid.

This makes my travel mug a little bit more usable at home. Only issue is it’s difficult to remove.

Just an add-on ring for an electronic mug. Not very necessary, but does what it says.

Don't really know what it is for. I think it is used to attach other stuff to the top. Is there a list of stuff that we can attach to it?
