    Awesome last game from Bungie

Halo Reach is an excellently made game. The campaign was about 6-8 hours long which is standard for games these days. I do not have internet at the moment but i used to and i would play Halo 3 a ton. I played the beta online and enjoyed the multiplayer to no end! The campaign is a bit different than previous halo games but it is unique and a game to be bought and played. There are many new maps, vehicles, and weapons that await players in the halo universe. Bungie mainly focused on the die hard halo fans and made an incredible multilayer experience. There are tons of new online modes and millions of possibilities for forge. The new xp rating system also adds a new spice to flavor! If your looking for a fun campaign experience that doesn't last long and your looking for a fun online time, i would recommend this game.

The Best Halo Game Out There!

Halo: Reach is the ultimate package for Halo fans and typical gamers alike. The campaign does a great job of setting up the storyline for Halo: CE, and is the hardest campaign yet (only getting even harder for every player you add in, so Legendary w/ 4 players = suicide). The multiplayer is super addicting, and Forge has been greatly improved. Just check out the enormous Forge World! Firefight is now just as customizable as Custom games, and supports online matchmaking. If you have Xbox LIVE, you will be hooked. The Daily & Weekly Challenges are a great way to earn credits for ranking up quickly. Halo: Reach is the best Halo package out there, and is a must buy for anyone! Go pick this one up!!

    A Halo for Halo Fans

The excitement of the Limited Edition of Halo: Reach starts with the packaging. Not only does it contain the game and Dr. Halsey's journal, but also dozens of little items. Such as a military style patch and Dr. Halsey's ID card. The game itself is fun and it's varying difficulty levels give players the option to experience the game on a level that is right for them. However, if you are a seasoned Halo player like me, you will find that the game feels a bit "short". As you will most likely blow through enemies faster than most. The new weapons and vehicles in both campaign and multiplayer are nothing short of awesome. Even old favorites feel new, because of new enhancements and features. Also new in multiplayer are a fresh assortment of new game modes. Such as Arena, Headhunter, Invasion, and Firefight is now added to Matchmaking. Also added to the mix are "Armor Abilities" and Armory shop where players can spend experience points for new armor parts. Personalize your Spartan! Overall, the game is great fun and addicting. The only reason that I am rating it a 4/5 is because the increase in difficulty level for Heroic and Legendary felt a bit steep for a Halo game, there is no more dual wielding (which I miss sorely), and the graphics are not quite up to par with other shooters. However, they are much better than they were in Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST.

Bungie went out with a bang

Bungie's last halo game is amazing. The campaign tells a riveting story. The multiplayer has tons to do with all the new game types with firefight and co-op campaign. The forge is easier to use with the snap rotation and the theater is still there to watch previous games. I pre-ordered the game in early April and went the first day to pick it up. I'm very happy with the purchase and will play this game for months to come.

Bringing back the old for the new!

Individuals such as myself who have been a part of the halo fan base since Halo: Combat Evolved can FINALLY be pleased with a new halo product from Bungie. Bungie has continually produced products that brought new experiences and trends to the gaming world and Xbox Live, but they never had a game that encompassed the whole experience as a game. With Halo CE, the campaign and story were solid, bringing hours of fun for any gamer who picked it up! The multiplayer for Halo CE however was lacking due to Xbox Live service not being available around this time period. Still, Halo MADE the LAN party!!! Halo 2 was the game that single handedly revolutionized online gaming for consoles. With new weapons and maps, people got to bring a new challenge and experience to the classic halo franchise that they fell in love with. However, the campaign left many feeling dissatisfied. The ending left many questions for the players, many of which still linger today. Except one thing was for sure-the series wasn't over. Halo 3 was essentially the first game to really test the new xbox live on the xbox 360. While the campaign was once again dull to those who played the previous games, the multiplayer once again took gaming to new heights, and new lows. With the introduction of achievements, a new way of extending the game's life came to fruition. Yet amongst all the new additions, the game very quickly began to lose its appeal. Hardcore players only continued to play it because it was the halo everyone else was playing. Halo 2 still had a major fanbase and multiplayer was just more fun in comparison to halo 3. Then the tragedy that is Halo Wars came out. While trying to add to Halo canon, the game left the fans dissatisfied with the halo universe even more. Hope was finally sought in the game Halo 3:ODST. While not actually being part of Halo 3 (but more of a lead into), the game again pushed graphics on the Xbox 360 and added a new gametype (firefight) that has kept players interested in the game, though with little effect due to the lack of the typical halo multiplayer. The game was short lived, but was good enough to keep halo fans hanging on to hope that the franchise they love can make a comeback. Plus its main character was played by Nathan Fillion... Halo Reach released it's Beta in May of 2010, and had more than 1 million players and 10 million games played in its first 24 hours. Bungie turned off Halo 2's multiplayer during this time, ending original xbox live as we knew it. The beta was well received, and brought new strategy into the classic halo universe with load outs. When the beta ended, people found a new love for halo multiplayer in halo 3 that was short lived. Halo reach gave people a taste of what multiplayer is supposed to be by returning to the roots of Halo CE and tweaking gameplay to add new and exciting challenges to the universe. This caused people to long for this game, and because they longed for the game, there has been a lot of hype around this title-causing it to be the most anticipated game of 2010. This game is bringing to the table the gameplay of Halo CE, with the multiplayer revolution of Halo 2, and will finally lead the halo franchise to a conclusion of what really happened at the end of Halo 3 by answering annoying questions left by the campaign. This game will be a great lead in the next halo game to be produced by 343 industries, and is a great way for Bungie to leave the franchise. Anyone who has ever had an appreciation for Halo will need to get this game. For those who have never liked the franchise, they may find a few things they like about the changes, but will probably only see this as a casual game at best. online Multiplayer- 4.8/5 Campaign- 4.5/5 Longevity- 4.7/5 Customization- 5/5 Solo gameplay- 4/5 co-op gameplay-4.5/5 overall-4.7/5

the most highly anticipated game of 2010, halo: REACH has high expectations and bungie sure tries to deliver. the limited set is a great middle ground for the die hards that want a little something extra without shelling out twice as much for some out-of-game collectables, as well as an in-game armor mod only available through the limited set and legendary. pre-order today because the line for this one will be looong, and you don't wanna be the guy tha doesn't get one of these because they are sold out!

This game is perfect i played the Beta and it was fun I've seen the forge trailer and how Bungie explains the forge part and it sounded pretty easy and fun because you can make objects float change color and make them go in the mountain or go inside other objects.......What i think you people should do is wait until the game is cheaper or if you want the special edition ones get it then.I would rather you all get the game itself.Overall this game is the best ,some people say there is a level like Star wars Battlefront the game.Who knows...

The new elements for Reach such as armor abilities bring a level of fun similar to Halo: CE. Very good weapon balance, Multiplayer is fun and easy to get in to. The campaign is solid and on harder difficulties the game is very challenging. The addition of daily and weekly challenges provided lots of replay. The experience system is also very well designed and doesn't restrict not as skilled players. Best game in the Halo series would recommend it to all fans and even those who are just joining the series.

In all my years of adolescence, Halo 2 is the epitome of video gaming god-ness. I never thought any other Halo game would come close to its perfection, but I must say, Reach my quite possibly surpass it. I won't say for sure, as it's lasting goodness is still to be seen, but it does indeed blow Halo 3 out of the water with a compelling story, graphics, and all-around fun. Definitely a must-buy.

As a tru fan of the Halo franchise I was skeptical before bying it. I thought "Oh no, it's ODST all over again." I was pleasantly surprised though. The gameplay was great. They thought of just about everything in detail. For example, since this game is a prequel to Halo, and the Covenant had not had exposure to humans, the grunts did not speak English as in the other Halo's as they haven't yet learnt it. The end was not at all what I expected, but I liked it, and there were many surprises throughout the game. Jet packs and Holograms were awesome. I did not like the new button configuration. I was always pushing the wrong button to reload my weapons.

Halo reach is an excellent game, and in my oppinion the best in terms of gameplay. The story is disappointing and reminded me of COD in some ways, especially regarding the ending. Beware however as the game does not work properly with some first year 360s and will render the game unplayable until a fix is found for it. The gameplay is worth it in almost every way however. The game is a great game easily worth 60 dollars or 80 dollars for the special edition, assuming you have a 360 that allows it to work.

This game is, in my opinion, the best halo yet. The graphics, game play and campaign are all amazing. With the easy controls it helps you play better online and with friends, with the armory in the game it gives you something to play for as well.

    Limited or Legendary

A note on the Limited version and the supplied black box material: It is amazing. For starters, the package is wonderful. The supplied journal is encased in a sealed black bubble wrap envelope with a note explaining it's importance. I did not expect the amount of written material, newspaper clippings, photos, artwork, and overall work that went into making this journal seem so real. I don't think I would have enjoyed the game as much without this added bonus. Onto the game, it's phenomenal. You start off, bam, customize your armor, jump into the action. Be a girl, be a boy, whatever. The first two missions seem like reminders on how to play or tutorials. The action gets more and more intense as the clearly driven story unfolds. Multiplayer seems much more polished than previous years. Voting for game modes is a bit sharper, with more choices. The new game modes and loadout options add a bit of flair to games which could become dull over time. It's definitely a must-own for any Xbox owner. The limited or Legendary versions preferred. Don't just shell out the 60$ for the game, go the extra bit and get the journal too. You won't regret it. If anything, it'll look awesome on your book shelf.

Anyone ever possibly interested in a Halo game or the FPS Genre should pick up this game! The level of content and customization is unparalled for any FPS, and the online Multiplayer matchmaking and support is stellar! The Limited edition is best suited towards fans of the series, as extra content included in the Ltd. and Legendary editions provide only very little extra game content (different armor pieces). The Ltd. Edition however comes with "Dr. Hansley's Journal" (beautifully made and richly written/illustrated), as well as a Patch, Poster, and some other game paraphinalia. All-in-all an excellent video game investment! :)

If you like Halo and don't mind a few iterative changes, you'll love Halo Reach. It plays with the trademark smoothness and polish you've come to expect from Bungie, and it's packed with the best suite of features a console shooter has seen in a long time. Is it the end all be all? That's always open to debate, but I"m very happy with the purchase. Speaking of the purchase, the custom bound book is a very neat little bonus piece. I wish I had a blank one to fill with my own thoughts.
