The old one still worked but we cracked the carafe and decided to just go new. The cone shaped coffee filter makes the best coffee.

For the amount of water you put in you get significantly less coffee in the pot. But I guess you get what you pay for.

It is also programmable which is good, but the clock has no back light and is hard to read in normal light and impossible to read in the dark. Besides simply reading the time, this issue makes it hard to program.

I had another Hamilton Beach coffee maker before, which I loved, but I very much regret buying this one. I have only had it for 2 months, but I'm already considering getting rid of it. It's that bad!
