We were happy with three of the Brew Stations in the past so we ordered this new model. Big disappointment. Coffee leaks out every time when dispensing. We have it so we'll use it but I'll ever buy this again.

We had this for 2 weeks and gave it to a friend. You can not reheat coffee and it is hard to fill the top then transfer the water to the lower chamber without spilling. It comes apart in 3 pieces to load water and coffee.

Only been using for 5 wks so far. Leaking is only a problem if one does not pay attention to the positioning of mug under dispenser. You can choose how many hrs to keep coffee warm (2,3,4 etc) but be sure to turn pot off if coffee level is low otherwise you scorch the hot plate inside the warming unit.

Great product for older individuals who have a hard time managing a full pot of coffee. Easy to use and great for group gatherings. Expect to clean up some water if you try to move the unit after filling or when lifting the lid after brewing to clean the unit. This is not a bad thing for me, since I don't use it every day.

Makes Excellent Coffee

I really like this coffee maker. The coffee from it tastes great and never tastes burnt, no matter how long it's kept warm. (I did not purchase the optional filter). The removable basket to put water in is very easy to handle but I imagine it may be a bit difficult if you were going to try to fill it with a fridge water dispenser. It is quite tall - it won't fit in any of my cupboards although I have an old house and I guess that is to be expected. It is a good looking coffee maker (no yucky, crusty carafe) so it is ok on the counter.

This coffee maker makes great tasting coffee. We find it very convenient that we no longer have to pour coffee the dispenser works great. At first the design will puzzle you if your used to conventional coffee makers but its relatively simple to operate. We purchased the 2 yr warranty since the price was so reasonable. The temperature of the coffee is perfect and you can make up to 12 cups that is kept warm up to 4 hours with no burnt taste. There is no plastic smell we simply followed set up instructions for cleaning and are very happy with this purchase. Consumer reports tested this unit and rated it highly. I fully agree and feel this was a great coffee maker at a great price. We use bunn filters for easy clean up.

I am really happy with this coffee maker. I love that it keeps the coffee hot for 4 hours and it never gets a burnt taste to it or gets strong. I even hit the buttom for an extra hour once and it was still good coffee.

I needed a new programmable coffee maker to replace a much more expensive Frigidare unit that stopped brewing after a year and a couple of days. After looking at all of them online, I found this one. I liked it because the price was right ($45 or so), it keeps coffee warm (or hot) for up to 4 hours (or more if you reset it), and it's a dispenser rather than a coffee pot.
I mostly don't care about the dispenser part except that the last cup of coffee doesn't get "fried" from sitting in a pot on a burner. The last cup is as good as the first.
One of the best features with this coffee maker is that the coffee basket and the water/coffee container can be removed for easy day-to-day cleaning and for making coffee at counter level.
After cleaning, I put both on the counter, fill the water container to the 12 cup level (12 cups max), then pour the water into the coffee maker at a much lower level than most coffee makers. It's far less awkward this way. Then I put the container back in place to receive the coffee when it's made.
The coffee basket, with a paper filter (a wire mesh filter is available) takes 6 standard scoops for a full 12 cups. It can also be filled at counter level, then placed back in the coffee maker. Unlike other coffee makers, this prevents accidentally dumping coffee into the water reservoir. Yes, I've seen that happen and cleaning it out is a mess.
When the coffee is brewed, it goes into the container that you poured the water into on the counter top, ready to easily dispense.
My only "objection" is that when the coffee is done, there's only one quiet beep that can't easily be heard outside the kitchen. This may be a feature so as not to wake anyone else who's sleeping. Regardless, for regular coffee, it takes 10 minutes to brew. For "Bold" coffee it takes about 15 minutes.
As for durability, I rated the coffee maker as excellent, but I've only had it for a couple of months and nothing has broken yet. Time will tell, I'm sure.

super great fantastic coffee maker.it is easy to use and no more carafe.I love the bright blue light at night I can go into the kitchen without turning on the light.Coffee is ready when I get up in the morning. The only thing I did was buy a water filter for it at a kitchen store but it does not work in my model even though it shows my model number on the filter box.I will have to do more research on it to get the right one.

Great coffeemaker! I got this for my dad and he loves it! He had the previous model and was very durable, especially considered he used it at least once a day. I hope this one is the same

Had to pick up at store. Boxes on two of first 6 were damaged - refused one and it was replaced. Went back to pick up another coffee maker - was offered the same damaged box - refused it. Was notified that my order was going to expire - discussed with counter person who was ordering it to come from another store that I couldn't have my order expire - I had 2 more on order besides this one. He said no problem - he had taken care of it. That left 3 that I needed to pick up. Went back to pick them up - the one from the other store was there, my order had expired and one more was in stock. So I got 2 of the 3, and have to reorder the third. Not very good customer service.

This Brew Station delivers. Your coffee is always hot (steaming hot) up to 4 hours, which is programmable. Coffe stregth adjustment. If you like iced coffee you have that option. No spill one cup dispensing. No need to clean a carafe or worrying about breaking one for that matter. Super easy to clean as well.
There's only a couple of downfalls I can see is that you are still subjected to having to use paper filters. I would pefer a wire basket. No big deal though. And, the LED display is super bright. Turn off all the lights and you could navigate by it, incredible. Still a great buy!!

Better Than the Original

Bought this to replace my old Brewstation. This redesign addressed all the issues I had with the original Brewstation, but has some issues of its own. Don't over fill the water tank, the overflow will run out a vent slot in the back of the unit. The optional water filter does appear to fit correctly in its hole. After brewing, the unit continues to pop and hiss until the heater is switched off. This was so loud and annoying I have set the keep warm to 0. There is a lot of water on the under side of the brewing basket when removing it to refill.

For the price, this coffee pot is good. It has all the standard features. It is vey lightweight. Brews very quiet and coffe is good. Only problem I have is it only accommodates mugs and the coffee is not as hot as most other coffee pots until you get towards the bottom. If you add cold creamer, you might have to heat it up in microwave.

so, I bought this 8 months ago due to the positive reviews and design that seemed alot like the coffee maker at work. While it works, here are the irks I have with the design.
1. There is a 2 inch long metal strip inside the coffee tank that is responsible for keeping the coffee heated. After a brew or two, coffee will adhere to the heated metal and will need some elbow grease to get it off. Surrounding the metal are these plastic spikes (for no apparent reason) - which makes cleaning the metal strip more difficult than it needs to be.
2. The coffee tub itself is not insulated - its just plastic. Not even glass lining like the coffee maker at work or the glass pots like others. Deal breaker.
3. The height of the coffee spout makes it difficult for some thermos to fit in. So you are left with putting it in a regular mug, then transferring it to the thermos.
4. The spout is angled inwards, making it a tad more difficult
If I had to do it over again, I'd probably go with the old fashion coffee pot.
P.S. I think the plastic spikes around the metal strip are placed so that the coffee drips onto the spikes.

The plunger is stiff so you have to push your cup w/force then there's a plastic bottom so it slides THEN its leaks everywhere....
