I especially loved The silence of the Lamb. I can see why Jodie Foster won and oscar for her performance. Hannibal was an excellent edition for the following of The Silence of the Lamb. It kept me on the edge the whole time.

It is the Hannibal Lecter Package, but to an extent. There are five Lecter flicks: Manhunter, SIlence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon, and Hannibal Rising. This package has the first three. You are basically getting the original flick with Brian Cox as Hannibal, and William Peterson as FBI Agent Will Graham. Silence of the Lambs, which is one of the greatest movies ever made, is in here with a plethora of extras, and Hannibal is along as a movie too. Now, those who are fans of Sir Anthony Hopkins's rendition as Lecter will be slighted by this package. But to me, I feel that the package does encompass the most balanced trinity of the movies. Some will argue that Red Dragon should have been in this instead of Manhunter, but I think Manhunter is the better of the two flicks. Red Dragon is just a 'Hopkinized' update of Manhunter to satisfy the fans, and Hannibal Rising is just a prequel that is for the Lecter fans but not required. For the TL;DR Crowd, the set is worth it if you can find it for a great price. Visuals and audio are good, but not the best. Extras lie mostly with Silence of the Lambs. This is more or less buying Silence of the Lambs and getting two Lecter flicks along for the ride.

Amazing collection for all Hannibal fans including Hannibal's first appearance "Manhunter"

This includes Michael Mann's version of The Red Dragon called Manhunter which I liked a lot better than the more recent Red Dragon remake but that is just my opinion. The movie Hannibal is the lesser of all 4 in my opinion but Julianne Moore's version of Clarice Starling was extremely well acted as always for her. She makes the movie worth watching in my mind and it's not too knock Anthony Hopkins but the script wasn't the best to work with. The original Silence of The Lambs was a classic the day it was released so not much to review there. Overall a great collection, sans any great extras and behind the scenes looks. Just 3 great movies for a great price!

As a movie collector I'm always seeking to expand my vast collection. Now with over 250 blu-rays owned I can no longer rely on other retailers such as Target or Fred Meyer to carry harder to find movie titles that I have yet to add to my collection. Then I discovered best buy. I had previoisly shopped there quite often, but with my store farther away than the local Target or Fred Meyer it just didn't make sense to take a longer than necessary trip. Ever since I've returned several trips ago I've come out making purchases on blu-rays I had yet to see anywhere else. Thank you so much best buy!

Great movie set, the only con would be not including the special features discs but at guess at such a low cost I don't blame them. And I was disappointed with Manhunter, not the best version. And it would be nice to finally get a complete ultimate Hannibal Lecter collection that included Hannibal Rising, Manhunter, Red Dragon, Silence Of The Lambs, and Hannibal with all known special features all in a matching disc set. HInt hint studio execs.....

For less than $15, if you can get this collection for that price, you can't go wrong. It's probably worth more than that, honestly. It's a trilogy of movies that range from good to great to classic. Very glad I picked this up for the right price! Video quality is good, special features are alright, but the price is right for the movies alone.

Couldn't pass this up at ten bucks. Had the films already on DVD, but wanted to upgrade to Blu. Red Dragon is absent from the collection and there are no extensive extras to speak of, but can't complain due to the price-point. I'll pick up Red Dragon another time and I don't really need the extras on Blu, since I have the DVDs. Picture on these discs are very good and an improvement over the DVD film transfers. Kind of a no-brainier at this price.

The Silence of the Lambs is one of the greatest movies of all time and Anthony Hopikins portrayal as Hannibal Lecter is amazing. Hannibal suffers from the casting of Julianne Moore in the role of Clarice Starling, which was brilliantly portrayed by Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs. Moore is fine in the role, but it should've been as a different character instead of Starling. Red Dragon is a remake of Manhunter and it's a very well made remake. Everyone is top notch and it pulls off the rare feat of a prequel actually being good.

The Silence of the Lambs, starring Jodie Foster, swept the top Academy Awards. Hannibal is a Gothic thriller that is not quite as good the other two.

The 2 key movies are of course the reason for the purchase. I didn't think "Manhunter" was that good and prefer the "Red Dragon" version with Ralph Fiennes and Edward Norton much more (huge differnece in the budget between the films). This should come with Red Dragon and not Manhunter IMHO.

The only reason i bought this set was for silence of the lambs and Manhunter which both look great and sound great too. Unfortunately silence of the lambs is the only blu-ray with special features the other two is just the movies themselves. although they do have good picture and sound quality, so not a bad set for the price. Manhunter is a great movie here but i wish there could have been some extra features included.

What caught my eye about this collection was the 1986 movie Manhunter which I had not even known about. After watching it, I learned that it was very similar to red dragon (although I have read that it is not a remake). The price for this collection was great. I highly recommend it.

Very excited to own this series. I have never seen Manhunter, so I'm looking forward to view that film. Watching old movies on bluray can be interesting sometime. You are able to see things that you never saw on vhs or dvd. For $7.99 I couldn't leave this set.

I purchased this product because I have all the Hannibal Lecter movies but played Silence of the Lambs so much that it was warn out. I also did not have them in blu ray. I am totally satisfied with this product and now watch them all.

It came with the first two Hannibal movie and the an old movie from late seventies I think wasn't sure what it was until I started to watch it, but it ended being The original Red Dragon from the Hannibal series it was interesting to see and what was different from that one to the remake one in the 90's. All in all great price for a good set.

Nothing beats the original, Silence and Hannibal is far and away superior to the "original" it was based off, Manhunters, but you still have to see Manhunters if you're a true Hannibal fan!

This collection comes with 3 of the movies out of the 5. Manhunter, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal.

always see the Silence of the Lambs, rarely see the other two installments on TV....the sequels pale in comparison to the original however, good to see how they continued the story
