Watch this if you love witches. Strange mix of action, and slight horror and gore but it works for me. Famke shines in this movie, make up and effects did an amazing job.

This is an excellent 4k movie. The visual effects will impress any enthusiastic movie aficionado. The story is well written, and the actors are best of the best, in every scene. This will easily go in the collection, of great movies. Thank you Best Buy.

This movie has a lot of very good action. And the special effects are second to none. Jeremy Renner, The newest big name action star, lives up to his usual standards. He functions well with his co-star Gemma Arterton.

This is a great movie for people who like Action Films and don't mind lots of Blood and small amounts of Gore. If you liked most 80's R-Rated Action Films you should like this one. As the name suggests Hansel and Gretel grew up to be the most effective Witch Hunters the world knows.

Okay, so the weapons are not real. Yeah, the plot is simplistic. Yes, the movie drags a little but THIS IS A VERY GOOD brother and sister team building film!!! Love the characters. Excellent story telling and great ending. Famke is a great witch.

My dad enjoys this movie. It’s entertaining and for the price paid, worth buying. So my dad has a movie he will enjoy watching without wait for it to come out on demand or cable

It is an expansion of the old story, which I liked very much. It seems it became available for me at this time of the month of October.

I went into this movie thinking it was going to be mediocre but I actually thought it was pretty funny and glad that I took a chance on it.

My oldest wanted me to get this for her. She stated it was a good movie but she expected more out of it.

Definetly different from the hansel and gretel we grew up with. But a lot of action, and some suspense. More action. Not good for children perhaps.

Oh yeah, this is a great adaptation of the classic fairy tale. Lots of gore and over the top humorous situations if you like it that way...

A lot of reimaginings have been going for the past few years, Cinderella, Oz: The Great and Powerful and more films Disney is remaking live action and earning billions, and its totally uninspired and boring. I thought the same when I saw trailers for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, despite an R rating and produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McCay, I passed on it until it hit Redbox. Wish I hadn't because this film surprised me with some fun action, good acting and loads of style. The story isn't anything to write home about, but I dig how Hansel has diabetes from all that candy the witch fed him years ago, the whole bounty hunter feel, and love the style this film has. The picture quality is sharp as a tack, and the audio is a nicely loud action track filled with directional effects, LFE and plenty of clarity. The extras are unfortunately slim, with just a few featurettes to tide you over, with the BBY exclusive featurettes a nice bonus, but the problem is that only the unrated cut is in HD. Unless you get the 3D BluRay, you'll have to live with the theatrical cut on the included DVD, which is okay but sub par compared to the BluRay.

I don't care what the critics say...I liked this movie. I reccomend checking it out.

Not great acting or a great storyline but it is very entertaining and worth spending the reasonable price to add to your collection.

this is a good movie to watch with the whole family. Good story, action packed and great actors. New spin on traditional story.
