Hardwired is fantastic. I've always liked Metallica but I don't always like everything they release. They are one of the biggest bands on the planet so they can pretty much do whatever they want. The new double album is hands down one of the best things that they have done in years. The 3 disc set is definitely worth it!

I am in NO way a big Metallica fan. I purchased this cd as a gift for my son. I must admit it ROCKS!!! I enjoy it very much. As a life long hard rock fan, this cd took me back to the days when music was fun, guitars were loud, and angst was delivered at unbelievable decibels. The entire album is a fine piece of metal.

This reminds me of a simpler time in their career; a time before touring with therapists. This album expands on the fantastic sound they developed with 2008's "Death Magnetic". 10/10 would listen again.

A welcome return for one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Reminiscent of older albums, but still feels fresh. Hard hitting songs like Moth Into Flame and Here Comes Revenge highlight this album, but each track stands on its own. Easy to recommend for fans, or someone looking for some great new metal music.

About the deluxe edition of this album and it sounds very much like the more recent Metallica album very traditional sounding album for them I was very impressed with the extra desk that was included in the deluxe edition that was primarily alive album short of the opening for tracks being additional studio tracks

Hardwired... To Self Destruct is the long awaited follow up to Death Magnetic. This album is great. It captures all eras of the band. There are songs the sound like the Load era. There are songs that sound like the Black album. There are songs that sound like early Metallica. If you're a fan this is a must have.

For all the fans of early Metallica, you will not be disappointed. This album rocks hard! I recommend you pick up the deluxe version as it has a bonus track from the new recordings as well as some rare tracks and a nice 11 song live set of songs from 'Kill 'em All', Ride the Lightning' and 'Master of Puppets'.

I have been a Metallica fan since the 80's, and the last two albums haven't been the Metallica I grew up on. Still good, just something about them was missing something. This album, is a turn in the right direction. Hardwired is a great song to jam out to, as well as ManUNkind. I bought the bonus version that has a 3rd disc with some other studio recordings as well as a live versions. The Ronnie James Dio medley is great.

It's amazing how much these guys still rock at their age! This is another amazing Metallica album. This album makes a nod to the old classics as well as the Black Album. The deluxe version comes with some great bonus tracks and live tracks for the ultimate Metallica fan to add to their collection.

I've been listening to Metallica since the mid 80's and my son now loves them (he's 12). I bought this cd for him and it's another great piece of work. The cd was actually cheaper at Best Buy than it was to buy the digital download when it came out. I always prefer owning hard copies of my music.

Seriously, this record is fantastic. St. Anger had decent songs but the snare drum was annoying. Death Magnetic had great songs but the production stunk. Hardwired finally has the right mix - great sound, great songs - EVERYTHING! If you can, get the 3 CD version to get the Iron Maiden cover!

After the career these guys have already had prior to this album, they easily could have just "mailed it in" and toured for the next decade on previous material... but they didn't. This album is a solid effort with an old school Metallica feel. "Spit Out the Bone" is a personal favorite.

Love all Metallica albums...including St. Anger! This album is a fine balance between In Justice," and "The Black Album." Not as thrashy and aggressive as Death Magnetic, but a excellent album in their storied discography. Something for all Metallica fans on this set. Get the 3 disc version!

Overall a good album. It is probably most similar to Death Magnetic, but it's not so similar as to be a Death Magnetic part II. If you aren't sure this is one for you to buy, go take a listen on the net - kudos to Metallica for putting videos of every song out so you can essentially preview it all. I listened and found it worth buying. Definitely worth the few bucks it cost. The 3rd disk was pretty cool as well.

Discovered Metallica a little late compared to others. I enjoy their music and this is a great addition to their work. Solid rocking album, definitely back to their roots. Well worth the wait between studio releases. Doesn't disappoint. I have the 3 disc version and all discs are solid

I am a long time Metallica fan and I have been listening to this album for over a week. Hardwired and Spit out the bone are great hard and fast tunes to open and close the album. In general there are number of great tunes that make this album a very impressive work after a long hiatus.

Metallica kept up the good work from Death Magnetic even though it took quite some time for this release to happen. Great guitar work and even better drum work. Bass work is good too as well as vocals from James. All in all an awesome Metallica record that won't soon get old.

First off, I would not consider myself a hardcore Metallica fan. I am familiar with the basic radio "hits" not much more. Bought this based on review I heard on the radio. Really pleased. I assume anyone reading this already knows they are hard rock/heavy metal. That's what you get here. I got the 3 disc set. Lots of great music. Great value for the price. I think my favorite so far is Atlas Rise.

The vet metal heads are back. If you liked the early stuff
no ballads wild guitars etc this is for you. Favs include
Hardwired, Moth to a Flame & the killer closer Spit out the Bone.
The deluxe ed includes Dio, Maiden & Deep Purple covers
& live concert tracks on a extra disc.

A new Metallica favorite!!! Every song jams out just like in the 80's!!! They've still got it!!! Now I can prove to everybody that they were influenced by Iron Maiden like I've been telling everybody for thirty years!!! Thanks gentlemen for putting out another amazing album!!!
