I bought this Christmas present for my picky son, and he loves it. It has a great sound, even in the mid-range. It is lightweight and somewhat portable, and the battery does last hours, but we didn't get five hours though. The shape is very interesting, but a conversation piece.

I received one of these as a gift for Christmas and liked it so much that I bought another one after the holidays. Have a Harmon/Kardon sound system in my car and love it, this speaker does not disappoint. Easy to setup and you can pair one onto the other.

This speaker stands out. Great design, bigger than I thought but in a good way. Sound is great, plenty of volume, diminished when on battery though. Bluetooth connectivity works great. Has an aux for plugin, a battery plugin, and a USB plugin for updates.

Love love love this speaker. 1st one we ever bought finally blew after being constantly and loudly played for years. Went out the next day to get a new speaker. Tried two other “good” brands and they were nowhere in comparison to the overall sound and quality the Harman kardon delivers. Needless to say I wound up returning the competition and bought a new Harman kardon.

I have used the Beats Pill the XL version and the sound quality is no where near the Harmon/Kardon system. In fact, since I purchase the HK I've not used the Beats Pill in 6 months. The bass and clarity on the HK are really impressive and it really fills the room. The only negative are these... 1. When you start it up it sometimes takes a bit to pick up the bluetooth option on my phone & the tonal sounds that alert you it's connected are too similar in tone so it's not always clear whether it's connected when you first start it up but once you get connected - BOOM! 2. I wish there was someway to know the battery life left Other than those 2 things - it's the best sound system out there. I read loads of threads about all the others out there and I listened and compared and this is the best by far and it's not even close.

I could not believe the sound from this speaker. It holds a charge forever, and I actually have to turn down the volume on my deck because the whole neighborhood could hear it. I actually own an earlier version that I have had for 5 years. I left it outside a few times and once when I was on vacation when there were many storms. So, it looks terrible and the legs are broken. However, it still sounds great, so I decided I wanted the new one and when I saw it on sale, I jumped at the chance. I've owned at least 10 portable BT speakers in the past of all different sizes, shapes, and Brands. I have had several good ones. But none of them compare to this. It is the best by far. It is a perfect mix of sound, size, and design. It looks good too and really stands out. You won't confuse the Onyx with any other speaker!

Was looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker for a condo. Wanted something that can easily go from room to room and out to the patio. The sound was so good that we didn't have to take it out of the house to hear it on the balcony. Battery life last it all evening. Sound was so good, had to turn the volume down as not to disturb the entire condo complex

This speaker has exceptional sound in such a small foot print. The ease of setup, the features and the ability to combine 2 speakers together is unique and makes for a great sound. Also very portable with great battery life. Great value for the price.
