Customers are saying

Customers highly value the fun and catchy songs and solid, enjoyable gameplay in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX. Many appreciate the game's accessibility and ease of use, making it enjoyable for players of all ages. The inclusion of numerous mini-games is also a frequently cited positive. While some find the difficulty easier than other games in the series, many still find a satisfying challenge.

It's like Osu!, for those of you that have played it. I would look up gameplay videos if you have no idea what it's like, but if you're into this type of game it is really fun.

Placed my order on a saturday. The time frame given for shipping was spot on. Daughter likes her game. Only item is that the box the game came in appeared to have been through the ringer.

A Great Introduction to Both Miku & Rhythm Games

    Posted .

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX serves as a fantastic starting point for anyone looking to see what the vocaloid hype is all about as well as rhythm games in general. While the difficulty doesn't reach the upper echelons of the Project Diva games on Playstation systems, returning players will still find a satisfying challenge as they learn the new game's mechanics. Project Mirai is insanely Japanese from the get-go. The game starts by selecting a vocaloid character to be your "partner," which winds up being more like a housemate. Indeed, the menu screens are presented while inside an apartment where you can interact with the character of your choosing, buying them gifts, decorating the rooms, making music on a rudimentary synthesizer, or playing minigames with them. These are all side-features that have no bearing or influence on your progress in the main game, though, much like the DIVA Room features of the Playstation games. There's also a full Puyo Puyo game included on the cartridge, which supports local head-to-head multiplayer via two 3DS systems (unfortunately, despite the game's small size, it does not appear to support Download Play, meaning two copies of the game will be needed to play against one another). Puyo Puyo was released stateside on the Sega Genesis as Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, and this game is mechanically identical with an option to use the classic graphics. The inclusion of this was a surprising and frankly excellent perk, since this could be its own standalone puzzle game. Highly addictive! The rhythm game itself is about as great and accessible as the series gets. There are two play modes; one uses the touch-screen for beats ("Tap Mode") and the other uses the D-pad and face buttons ("Button Mode"). Tap Mode is very easy to grasp and uses up to two distinct buttons on the lower screen, and is by far the easier gameplay style, making it perfect for rhythm game beginners. Button Mode is much more akin to the Project Diva games, though it takes on its own flair similar to the DS' surprise hit Elite Beat Agents. This mode will also ask players to hit or hold multiple buttons at once (not always the same "direction," so to speak), which is new for the home game series. The most notable change in difficulty from the prior games is the loosening of timing and scoring. It is much easier here to get a "Cool" (perfect timing) score than any vocaloid game before it. This makes the game even more accessible and beginner-friendly, but seasoned players might be turned off by how much less care is needed to land a full combo. The song selection is the largest of any home vocaloid game release with 48 tracks, though unlocking them all will take time as most will not appear until after another song has been cleared at least once. The selection ranges from J-Rock hits to eclectic dance tracks, with a far higher ratio of "cutesy pop" songs than the prior games. They're mostly enjoyable in their own regards, and some of the most popular vocaloid songs made the cut. Every player will find a good number of songs to enjoy. Overall, Project Mirai DX is a fantastic game that's worth adding to any 3DS game collection, as it stands on its own as one of the best rhythm games for the system. Highly recommended!

I bought it on clearance and have to say that it is came with quite a bit of neat things. The items are nice and the game was alright for what it is. My only issue is that they crushed the bxs by sending it in a mailer instead of a box. So be weary when ordering stuff that is in box.

I Know what are you thinking… because this is a portable version of Hatsune Miku in the 3DS is not going to be as good… Well you are wrong! The game is not only awesome but includes 48 SONGS and 38 AR cards! The only the difference with some previous titles is that here all the characters are in chibi version (mini with big heads). Extremely recommended.

If you've ever played Project Diva f or f2nd before, you will find this game to be way too easy. Compared to those game's extreme difficulties, the hardest difficulty, which stops at hard, is closer to normal in those games. The side stuff is cute, though. You can have them wear each other's clothes, though they are gender locked. It leads to slight oddities: If you set Rin to wear Meiko's clothing, Rin will have a large bust. Similarly, Meiko will become flat chested wearing one of Rin's outfits. If you've ever used a Nendoroid, its literally the same as putitng a Rin hair+head on a Meiko body.
