This was a great game for someone owning a PS3 and wanting a God of War-like game. The game play was kind of short, but they give you the oppurtunity to play a harder difficulty after beating the game the first time. The graphics are outstanding yet the story line gets old after awhile. The ability to control flying objects such as arrows and cannon balls made the game unique. I still own this game because of that feature. Worth buying if you are into mythological type fighting games.

If you're looking for a title to showcase what the PlayStation 3 is capable of, then look no further. The graphics alone in this game are worth the price of admission. One of the first titles that I can safely say could not have been made for the Xbox 360. The acting as well is the best I have seen in a video game (thanks to its dramatic director, Andy Serkis). I wish the game would be a bit longer as it gets really good towards the ends and leaves me wanting for more. It would also be better if the player had a bit more variety of attack moves to perform.

First off this is the best looking game available currently on the PS3. The graphics are amazing with plenty of detail and beautiful color. The game plays alot like God of War for the PS2. There is lots of action and variety and the controls are easy to get use to. Heavenly Sword is rated T and the violence and language are pretty tame. My only negative for the game is that is a little short. This is the PS3's best game yet, you will not be letdown.

This game evryone should have. This game features a great storyline, geat gameplay and stunning graphics. This game is very long and very addictive. This is so worth the money. They have a great way of using the six-axis in the game. There are many unlocables in the game. The cutscenes are amazing. I would recommend other games such as the following: all the god of wars, Grand theft auto 4, call of duty 4, army of two, resistance.

Andy Serkis is credited as the Dramatic Director - or something like that, which is both Heavenly Sword's blessing and bane. The voice acting is absolutely top notch (Serkis plays all the bad guys except the one woman himself), the facial expressions of the characters are astonishing. However, they seem to have fallen in love with them - you feel like you sit and watch cut scenes almost as much as you play. And you can't skip any of them on the first playthrough. Add to that a short gameplay time, combat mechanics that feel a bit loose (yeah, you unlock new moves, but they don't seem to be much more effective than your favorite couple of moves you started with), a sixaxis after-touch feature when shooting projectile weapons that is nigh-on impossible to hit anything with (thankfully, you can turn off that feature and just use the left analog stick to guide your arrows, cannonballs, rockets, etc. to their targets), and "puzzles" that comprise of bouncing a shield off a wall and into a gong to open a door and what you end up with is a very solid rental. Don't get me wrong, the game is gorgeous, and it is fun (when you're actually playing). Having to use different stances to block different attacks is a cool combat mechanic, but you're never forced to use it until the very end - just keep mashing those attack buttons and you'll be fine. (The case might be different if the harder mode were available immediately instead of being a reward for beating the game on the normal difficulty.) I definitely recommend the game - as a rental. Save the extra $50 for something else.

This is by far the best game I have played in a long time. It's impressive that this game was developed back in 2003 even before the PS3 was around. The really took advantage of the SIXAXIS, the cell processor, and the NVIDIA GRAPHICS. This is a must for a gamer. The HD graphics along with the surround sound is just jaw dropping. If you don't have a HDTV, go get one. You'll be impressed.

This game shows the true power of what's to come for the PS3. It really is like playing a movie. Besides the story and the beautiful details, I really like the game because of the controls and the different stances with the combat. From start to finish Heavenly Sword is non-stop action. I was expecting the game to last a little longer, but I'm finding myself re-playing it quite often.

When you play Heavenly Sword you will know how great the game plays, feels, and looks. The creators really put in a lot of detail with this game. The combat system plays really well with the six-axis controller. Of course when there is a good game like this there is a down fall. THIS GAME IS TOO SHORT. I give the gameplay about 5 hours of play. The game is good though. You can play as many times and it will still amaze you. Overall there is some good in this game.

it's the second game i played when i bought my ps3. i was amazed with the graphics and the characters when i played it. the sixaxis control was a little bit hard to control when first playing it, but the game itself cancels it out. i had fun and really enjoyed playing this game and hopefully there's a sequel for this game in the future. definitely a great game for ps3 fans.

While the experience may not last very long, what is offered here is well worth the purchase price. This game actually gives you the immersive feeling of playing an action hero. The voice acting is superb, thank you Andy Serkis, and the storyline is high quality. The only problem I had with this game is that it is indeed too short, and I am not the greatest gamer in the world by any means. Most people will have finished this title within a couple of evenings.

This game is a little on the short side, but lives a lot of room for replay. I would recommend as a rental to any gamer fan, and as a must-buy for anyone who wants to add a great action game to their library. The graphics are drop-dead amazing, the acting is superb, and the storyline is enthralling. This truly is a cinematic masterpiece in game form, and worth checking out.

The Graphics are visually stunning using the PS3 as it should be used. The game play uses every aspect of the PS3 controller from the six axis to every button. The special attacks during the fight (cut scene type) are just amazing. The only really bad part (and reason I didn't give it a 5/5) is that the game is quite short for a single player game. Could use a bit more story line and time to play and enjoy it. Otherwise it is well worth the purchase!

After years of trying to get my wife to play any game, this had to be the one. after playing the demo she said she had to have this game. we bought the game the day it came out and i haven't seen my ps3 since. the visuals are nice and the box is pertty too. now if only she would let me play.

NOT MY TYPICAL GAME, BUT I DOWNLOADED THE DEMO FROM PLAYSTATION AND AFTER PLAYING IT, I WANTED MORE... THE GRAPHICS ARE GREAT, GAMEPLAY IS FLUID, THERE IS NO DOWNTIME OR LAGGING. THE "AFTER TOUCH" FEATURE THREW ME FOR A LOOP, BUT, IN NO WAY A IS THIS A FAULT OF THE GAME, ONCE YOU GET THE HANG OF IT, IT IS EASY. GET THIS GAME, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

This game is truly a work of art. Beautiful graphics, great sound, and fun gameplay. Seems the biggest complaint is that the game is too short, but that may not be so bad... they're are tons of unlockables on the disc that will take some time and work to obtain... adding to its replayability. I'm glad I bought this game... no regrets.

This game is one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. The graphics are fantastic, and exactly what the PS3 should be. The game should have been longer but overall a great game to play. I loved the storyline, but some questions remain unanswered, I just hope there is a sequal. The designers do a great job of making you emotionally attatched to the characters. Overall, well worth the money.

this game is truly a masterpiece as far as storytelling goes. its a cinematic marvel. the story and gameplay are what makes a game good. this has both. love the aftertouch sequences with the sixaxis controller... i havent enjoyed a game this much for a long time, i couldnt stop playing and thats very rare for me.

This is the first game for the PS3 that has truely amazed me! The graphics and gameplay are incredible, showing the true potential of the PS3 console. Also, the layout of the story makes you feel like you are part of a movie, rather than just fighting people to get to the next level. Great game!!

A must have for all PS3 owners...this game has an intriguing storyline coupled with phenomenal graphics and sound. The SIXAXIS controller was a liitle awkward at first in some areas, but you get used to it quickly (arguably why this game was released at PS3 launch...to help condition players to the controller). The only downside to this game is the length.

This game is wonderful Timing is evertyhing. When I first played this game I though it was impossible to aim as a sniper for Kai but realized later in the game u need to use controller's Six axis. THIS IS A GREAT BUY CINIMATICS are wonderful though I wish it was in 1080p. BUY THIS!!!!!
