Its going to be Awesome game for PS3

When you first have a look at Heavenly Sword on the Sony Conference video shown, the initial reactions clearly seen would suprise you at just how actions shown in the game are clearly amazing to be seen.
The fighting moves and how combos were produced were simply breath taking, you just wanted more to be seen of such a game like this. It shows us what the playstation 3 has to offer on the physics based combat. And to hear how you get 3 different styles of fighting that can be switched made you wonder just how much you'd would like to try it out.
After seeing the first initial video was over, later onwards there are videos showing of just how the people acting in the game were absolutely amazing to put so much work and effort shown on the facial expressions as well as the sound qualities produced. I really feel they deserve good credit for such work done.
As I descovered more about the game of how the story is about a character named Nariko in a tale of revenge, this heroine has to take on a quest to go against a king and his army , it sounds really interesting. It tells the story around this ancient Heavenly Sword which once belonged to a powerful deity. It cannot be wielded by a mortal without draining their life-force , to which it means killing them within hours . The King and his army destroys the clan that guards this Heavenly Sword. The clan leader's daughter (Nariko) must take up the sword to fight for survival but however she must also pay the ultimate price on this one last mission to seek vegeance against the King and his army before her life is over.
I just feel this game is definately well story driven and truly the sounds of voicing and expressions are amazing on the cutscenes. I just hope this game delivers with a lasting amount of gameplay to drive the player with fun and lots of involvement to truly see this game shine with action as well as through the character used.
If all goes well then this game will definately make the Playstation 3 shine to what we can all hope for as a start of one of the great games to be made. I look forward to this game when its finally out and I believe a lot of others would do too. Thank you all in advance for taking your time to reading this

A reason to get the PS3!

First and foremost, I recently bought a PS3 and with that in mind, I set myself on a quest to acquire this game from what I have read others who have reviewed the game. With that said. . .
The game itself is action adventure thriller. The effects blew me away. The fighting styles are superbly done, as you will note! The storyline is perfect and the characters are well developed. The developers and makers of this game balanced beauty, fighting, storyline and role playing.
I hesitated on getting this game because most players and reviewers are saying this game is short, but let me tell you, and believe me when I say this, the game can be played in so many different ways that you can just keep going back and back and you'll never get tired of it.
The fighting sequences are off the chart especially with her long range attacks. Simply put, there are so many ways to do combinations, it is not boring and the cut scenes on specials moves are unreal.
Technically speaking, as of this writing, I am on the last boss, Bohan, but I can not wait to play the game all over. I find the game so far neither short in terms of game play or expectations, as a matter of fact, this game exceeded beyond my expectations so far, especially since I am more of a Need for Speed/Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter gamer.
In summary and conclusion, get this game, you will not be disappointed. My only pet-peeve about this game is one thing, no jump button, but don't let that sway you from this game. Playing this game so far has been like having a bolt of rejuvenating lightening hit you each time.

heavenly sword is a must buy. the graphics in this game are amazing if played on an high definition tv. but still looks good on a regular tv. the graphics are compared to uncharted drakes fortune if not a little worse. but still looks good. the story in this game will keep you hooked until the very end, and after you beat it, you'll be wanting a sequel rather soon. the gameplay in this game is great, but takes a little getting use to. the attack buttons in this game are kinda confusing such as there are 3 different types of attack, strong, middle, and weak. when you hit one of the attack buttons nariko's swing changes color telling you which one you used. now when blocking, you must use the approprieate attack button to block, this gets a little getting use to, trying to remember which attack is which, but nothing major. the game is kinda on the short side. I was able to beat the game in about 10-12 hours. perhaps I wish it could have been a little longer, but I guess that what sequels are for. had didn't have much of a problem beating the game, like I said after you get use to the controls, the game is quite simple.

Stunning But Short

Heavenly Sword is one of those games that you absolutely must try but probably don't want to own because it has low replay value, unless you're a collector. The graphics are amazing and are surpassed by the voice acting, something very rare in video games these days. The character's are all very unique and have matching personalities that complement them. Throughout the game there are portions that require you to shoot enemies either from a rocket launcher, cannon, or crossbow and after firing a projectile, if you hold the fire button down and tilt the controller the SIXAXIS controls kick in, gameplay goes into slow motion mode, and you can guide the projectile to its destination. This was honestly the most fun for me; there is a side character that you play through a few missions who only uses a crossbow-type contraption and the slow motion SIXAXIS feature to slay enemies, it's very God-like. The disappointing part of the game is that it is entirely too short; it took awhile to get used to the controls and combo moves but by the time I did, I was at the end already. Also, there are no freerange exploration options at all, it's all very linear and straight forward.
Ultimately, the characters are all fun and unique and the visuals are stunning, but the game is over very quickly. It's definately worth a look at the very least.

THE MINI MOVIES ARE TREMENDOUS AND IT FEELS LIKE YOU ARE PLAYING IN AN EPIC ADVENTURE. HEAVENLY SWORD IS ONE OF THE MOST CREATIVE GAMES EVER MADE. Heavenly Sword Sets The Standard

My favorite thing about this game has got to be the amazing graphics. The acting is superb, and for once, a game has been created using motion-capture over the entire faces of the actors. That means that real facial expressions of the actors are seen in the game. Too many game artists have failed at recreating human emotion in characters' faces.
Also a plus, the story for Heavenly Sword is very-well written. In the past, games were developed and stories for them written later. Here, the story has taken precedence, and it is an epic story, too.
The sixaxis controls have been used better in this game than any other PS3 game I have played. My only beef with Heavenly Sword is that it was too short. But this game is fun to play over and over, thanks mostly due to the amazing cinematic feel. I would recommend this game to any PS3 owner.

This game is great. The characters look amazing, the voice acting isn't bad and the story is compelling. The gameplay is pretty "God of War," but it's a great model, and since GoW isn't on the PS3, why not enjoy a clone?
The gameplay is broken up by little archery sub levels (or catapult sub levels) which are really fun and quite addicting. These levels even employ the Sixaxis controler in a way that doesn't make you want to throw it across the room, which is very nice. So, all in all, you are not really in for a GoW clone of a game.
The graphics, music, sound and acting are all cinema quality and keep you enthralled and wanting more. But that is exactly where this game doesn't succeed. You can literally finish it in a couple of hours. That might be a little too much like a movie for me. I'd prefer a longer game for the price tag. But, the length aside, it's a fun game and probably the best straight action/adventure game on the PS3 to date. I recommend giving it a try. You will have fun with it.

I do agree with most, This game has broken new ground. It's a game/movie all in one. The graphics are incredible to say the least. The special moves are so fun to do. The guy that does Golem for Lord of the Rings is the main baddie !
I must say dealing with everyday stresses, we (my husband and I) get great enjoyment out with this game! You can take out daily anger as well as see this story unfold. Also, as being a chic myself....this game makes the "Girl Power" list !!!
However, I am a mom of 2 and the younger is 10 years old, I will NOT let him watch this game. They do show mild blood and show moves they might try, also it has times of mild cursing. I am picky about what they see. I am on the last chapter so I don't know everything that happens yet.
To sum it up....WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!
