Although not based upon a true story the environment that it is set in is. It shows the lasting marks the 2008 Recession has upon not just the big urban areas but the thousands of acres of land of rural towns and people.

An amazing film with amazing performances. Color, sound enhanced on a 4K Blu Ray. This is a down and dirty cops vs robbers. A must have for the fans of the genre

A fairly simple plot that is DRIVEN by excellent performances by Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine, Ben Foster, and others. A classic drama about good guys vs. bad guys. It was pretty cool how the film progressed. AND the ending.....well I guess you will just have to watch it to find out for yourself.

This was easily the best crime drama type of film to come out in 2016. Chris Pine has always been great but this movie really shows off his talent as an actor. Jeff Bridges never lets me down, and the story is a simple, straightforward one that ends up being quite an emotional one by the end.

Bought this DVD for my husband as a his Valentine's Day gift. I heard so many good reviews about this movie, especially the acting of Jeff Bridges & Chris Pine. For years I've had to listen to stories about the greatness of the movie "Tombstone". This gave him a 2nd western to rave about.

This movie is an intelligent, character based crime thriller that relies on character development and plot pacing to deliver the thrills, rather than on high octane action sequences. Clever, smart and thrilling because you connect with the characters. A must see for fans of the genre.

This movie was freaking amazing!! Jesus I wasn't expecting this movie to turn out to be the way it did. Chris Pine, one of my favorite actors is great, and so is Ben foster's crazy character!. This movie barely has action, but when it does it's fun to watch! I recommend this to everyone

Just a really good movie that keeps you into it from start to finish. You can figure out what is going to happen as part of the ending but you do wonder what the very final outcome will be. Jeff Bridges earned an oscar nomination but so did Chris Pine, in my opinion, who didn't get one.

very underrated movie. if you think this might be a movie youd like, i promise its better than you anticipated. try it. very re-watchable.

This is a great tail of how blurry the line can be between good n bad in the world today. The 4K version of this movie adds a level a grit to the brutally dry n baron desert background that is almost a supporting character in the well crafted flick from the incredible mind of script writer Taylor Sheridan who’s other movies include Sicario, Wind River n Yellowstone. Enjoy!!

I’ve loved this film since I first saw it in theaters, now being able to watch it in 4K is even bette!! The artwork on this steel book was a must have for me!!!

Was interested in this because I thought Sicario (same writer, I think) was very well done. Overall, it's great. Ben Foster is excellent and remains a very under-rated actor. Jeff Bridges continues to deliver developed performances and remains ever watchable. Highly recommend!

Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine are excellent in this movie. Bridges is a sheriff and Pine is a bank robber in a small, dirt poor town in Texas. Pine has a brother who is aggressive and lacks in caution and judgment. Bridges and Pine meet face to face in a thrilling conclusion.

The performances are solid and the story is descent. The cinematography is pretty good too.

I had no idea what this movie was about when I watched it the first time. It was excellent. Very emotional (for an action film), portraying brotherly love and what people do for each other. Also showed unfortunate circumstances in certain depressed areas of the US.

I really enjoyed this one. It may not be for a wide audience because it tries to do things differently than most films of this subject but I found it very interesting. And it has Jeff Bridges in it which is always a plus.

Excellent movie. Great performances by Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine and Ben Cross. Supporting cast is also verty good. Not sure who to root for in this movie, the good guys or the bad guys. A sign that they connect to the viewer in different ways. Highly recommended.

Great action crime thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Acting by Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine were fabulous in how the Texas Ranger goes after the man trying to save his Family’s land.

I'm glad I bought this one. I feel like it's one that I will want to watch a few more times. The acting, story, directing... it all adds up to make a great film. With all the generic stuff coming out these days, this movie stands out. Looks great in 4K.
