A great buy for hellboy fans though the two movies don't do anything original. If you are already a fan of hellboy then this is a great addition to your collection but for newcomers i would recommend buying the other movies before this one. I do wish they had done somthing better with the coverart the cover art looks like it was done in ms paint.

I have been a fan of the Hellboy comics since the 90's and have LOVED the three live action Hellboy movies made throughout the years (yes, even the most recent one, which seems to have been unfairly targeted by critics). Anyway, I love these animated movies as well, they are an excellent addition to the film canon. Don't let the fact that these are animated features fool you, this is almost on par with with the comics and live action films. They also look great in 4K!

If you are a fan of the live action films than you will definitely enjoy these animated films and they both have the entire cast from the live action films and producer.

If you’re a fan of the Hellboy universe, this won’t disappoint. The artwork is great and then you even have actors from the original movies adding voiceovers. The pacing of the film most along just right and there’s enough action to keep you vested into the plot along with everything else. Plus, this is two-movies-for-one-price!!! Recommended.

More Hellboy is always a good thing(I haven't seen the new one yet, so this could be false ;) ). Blood & Iron is the better of the two from this double feature. Packaging wise, it is nice to finally have the movies not in DVD packaging. Recommended!

The plot and voice acting were great, but the style of animation made the 4K superfluous. Recommended, but no need to go full 4K if you can find it cheaper otherwise in regular Blu-Ray.

The animation reminded me of a more limited version of Jackie Chan Adventures, but it was still good. I liked the stories, and neither movie is easy to forget.

Its not quite as entertaining as the live Guillermo del Toro films, but perhaps a little closer to the comics source material. The animation looks a bit dated.

This 2 in 1 did a great deal of bringing Mike Mignolias character in full animation. The story followed along a lot smoother than the recent revamp of the series

I had previously bought the Blu-Ray versions of this double feature and really enjoyed it then. Looking forward to the 4K crispness when I watch it this weekend.

The Hellboy animated films look great in 4K. And it is great that the DVD bonus features that were left off of the Blu-ray have been put back in the UHD release

Both 4K and Blu ray are average quality. Not much upgrade from DVD version and digital version is not UHD or HD version. Code is only for standard DVD quality. If already have DVD version would not recommend purchase.

“Hellboy Animated” contains two straight-to-video animated films based on Mike Mignola’s titular anti-hero. Both “Sword of Storms” and “Blood and Iron” feature Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, John Hurt, and Doug Jones reprising their live-action characters of Hellboy, Liz Sherman, Professor Trevor Bruttenholm, and Abe Sapien in stories written by character creator Mike Mignola and produced by Guillermo del Toro. The two animated films initially came out in 2006 and 2007, between the first and second of del Toro’s feature films. Due to del Toro’s faithful adaptation of Mignola’s tone in the comics and the connections between the animated and feature films, one may view these as stories taking place between the two del Toro movies.
