Season 1 of Hereos was the best. Not much else needs to be said about that. The blu-ray release I give 4/5. The picture is nice and it has more bonus features than the DVD, but the box doesn't quite fit on the shelf like other blu-rays/DVDs, but that's just a small gripe.

Begins with the stories of several lonely, disconnected people who learn they're destined to become superheroes. Good and bad ones start realizing their place on earth and start revolving around a girl who is indestructible Heroes from across the globe gradually meet up and form alliances as they try to prevent the nuclear attack and fight back against a shadowy, superpowered serial killer known as Sylar (Zachary Quinto), who is able to murder the would-be superheroes and steal their abilities in the process.

If you're watching the Heroes Reborn series, you need to see how the show began so you'll understand the original characters better.

This is a fun series to watch with plenty of different characters to follow. Addicting.

Heroes was a real treat for me. I started the first season as the show was partway through airing its second season, and by the time the second season was halted due to the writers' strike, I had caught up. When I got toward the end of the first season, I was watching several episodes a day. It's THAT good. I just couldn't stop watching. Heroes begins with the introduction of several people around the world who are discovering that they all have special abilities. The major characters include Peter Petrelli, who thinks he can fly, his aspiring Senator brother Nathan, Hiro Nakamura, a Japanese cubicle worker who can bend time and space, Niki Sanders, a single mother whose split-personality alter ego has strange consequnces, and Claire Bennet, a Texas cheerleader who can heal herself under any circumstances and whose adoptive father is engaged in strange affairs. It's all held together by a brilliantly apocalyptic plot and a villain who brings up some very interesting questions about evil. All of the technical aspects of this show are spot-on. If you like good television, this show is for you.

the people who write and direct this show must have a psychology degree because they know just how much to give you to make you so hooked in the show and flash that to be continued and make you say ugly words and are glued until the previews for next week are done just one more snipit you will need it it is an addiction the best tv series ever suspenseful with twist you never see comming characters you love and others you love to hate and yet still others you just cant decide or you start out hateing them then change your mind the fact it is sci fi that is well written and imagnitive yet believable in a way its just amazing and original but beware the pro of not having to wait till next week may keep you without sleep till you have watched it though at least twice it needs a surgeon generals warning caution this product may make you loose sleep and say many ugly words to wait for the next season

Definitely the best show in a very long time. This is a show that I had to be told about. My wife had gone ahead and DVRed the show. It is awesome and will become your favorite show after you purchase the set. From the art of Tim Sale to Tim Kring to the Hands on feel of Jeoph Loeb’s involvement, it is a winner. The 7 disc set itself has a lot of great features such as the art behind the show, all 23 episodes including a 73 minute original Pilot that shows you what could’ve been, documentaries, commentaries, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and deleted scenes. The video transfer on DVD looks great and sound is amazing for a TV show. And who doesn’t love 16x9! Stop what you’re doing and go get it, trust me.

Heroes Season 1 is by far the best entertainment investment we've made this year. It has tons of extras and each time you watch it you notice more details, different things come to life each episode. I definitly would recommend this to both people who have already seen Heroes when it was on tv and people who haven't see it at all. It's truely like watching a mini movie each episode. Picture and sound quality is great even if you don't have the best entertainment system it doesn't matter because its so well made, it makes for a fun, action filled friday night! Its an outstanding series i'd reccomend it to everyone. Quality

Ever wanted to see a live action TV version of X-men, other then the cartoon. Well this is about as close as you can get. Everyday humans, find themselves with unbelievable powers. And just like in any hero flick, some use their powers for good and others use them for evil. Heroes is packed full of extraordinary characters and by the end of season one I guarantee you will have your favorite. The only question pending is will your favorite survive to face off in the final battle of good versus evil?

This show is soooo amazing! I didnt watch Heroes when it first came on television, so I purchased Season 1. I could not stop watching!!! The characters grow right infront of your eyes, and there is never a dull moment. During the show I didnt find myself saying "THAT COULD NEVER HAPPEN", they had me feeling like all of it was real. To me its very important to get pulled in to whatever im watching, Heroes DRAGGED me in. This has to be one of the best purchases I have ever made.

I was almost positive I would hate this show until I saw the first six episodes on a sci-fi marathon. It is beautifully written so that it'll make you completely interested in it, but create enough questions so that you actually remember to watch it the next week (or in this case, just makes you watch the next episode right away). It's so well-done you almost don't even know you're watching a sci-fi show, until of course someone flies or regenerates. =P The actors portray their parts amazingly, and the whole show makes it seem as if all of this could actually be happening. Definite must-have.

This show was actually really amazing even though i thought much less of it. Its cool how theyre coming out in blu-ray which will definately make this show even better which i thought wasnt possible. This will keep wanting to watch episode to episode as much as you can. I watched 34 episodes from Seasons 1 and 2 in about 3 days and theyre about 45 mins long each. This alone should make u wanna get a blu-ray player. Definately worth every penny!!

Heroes is a television series that I cannot get enough of. I went through five disc in one day (which I never watch that much t.v. at all). Great story and yes the cast can sell the story really well. if you never seen the show like I have it's a nice gamble to take. The nice thing is that it's loaded with lotes of extra features which gives even more to the shows appeal. This was a great buy for myself and I give Heroes a outstanding score.

For those of you who haven't become addicted to the phenomena that is Heroes, but are intrigued by the concept Season 1 is a must own. The first season is full of enough twist and turns to keep you guessing. And the way that each episode ends leaves you hanging is enough to entice you to watch the next. If you are wanting to find another series to add to your weekly TV rotation, this is the one. Season 2 just started, so purchase Season 1 to catch up and you can watch the first few episodes of Season 2 on CBS' website.

You MUST see the beginning! This show is truely one of the most unique shows in recent television history (then again, isn't ALL television history relatively recent?). The idea that ordinary people have been endowed with extraordinary gifts, this is something we have all dreamed of at one time or another. Not some "freak" who has come from another planet, or been bitten by a radioactive bug---Joe and Jane Citizen! the girl/guy next door. Don't YOU think it would be cool to have some sort of special ability?!

I'm a huge fan of anything superhero and Tim Kring definitely knocked it out of the park with this series. It's great that they didn't try to overshadow the show by putting in lots of huge names, though I think just about everyone in it is a big star now. The camera work, make up, script and everything else are just stellar.

This is easily one of the best shows that I have seen. I cleared it out and even the extra features in 2 days. I just could not stop watching it. I never watch shows on TV I wait till they come out to buy on DVD. Sometimes I am disappointed in that I spent my money on something, but with this show I would have easily have paid more for it. It was just that great. I you could not ask for a better plot and cast to pull it off. I recommend this show to everyone.
