The YouTube reviews I watched all said this is a very good TV. I've had this model for a few days now. The picture is no more better than an old analog TV of the 50's. The setting options are very complex. The lag is also very bad. I would not purchase this TV again.

Awesomeness for less

I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and it was only for our bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised. The picture quality is amazing! It’s too loud though. Can seem to figure out the balance of that yet. Otherwise no complaints. Super easy to mount on the wall too!

I will say you get what you pay for. The picture is ok. The sound is really the weakest aspect of the TV. I knew it would not be amazing sound or picture so I suppose it's exactly what I expected, but if you are looking for a great picture and/or great sound, spend more $.

I have backlights, but no picture. Reading comments online, this is apparently very common with Hisense products as well as the Sharp products they manufacture. Before it died I was able to calibrate it to a setting that looked great, though the smart TV functions left a lot to be desired. The pop-up on-screen advertising was intrusive, the apps were questionable at best, and the ARC function would constantly turn my receiver on even when the TV had been turned off. It's still under warranty, but calls to customer service so far have not yielded any results other than being told the case was "escalated to 'tier 2' and they will be in touch within 24-48 hours." 96 hours later I was told that the department was busy due to "high volume" and they could not say when [if?] I would be contacted. After reading bbb.org, I have little confidence that the situation will be made right by Hisense any time soon, and not without taking up a ton of my time. If you're looking for a TV that will still work by the time you pay it off of your credit card, I would stay as far away from Hisense as possible.

It freezes too much

The only problem I ran into was that I bought a Samsung 4K HD Blue Ray player and the TV wouldn't work with it. I don't understand the problem that my tec friend try to explain but I ended up getting a different blue ray player. No connection or screen problems. I've loved it!

When you turned on the tv you may may not have a picture signal. I tried several other cables I had and finally purchased a new cable at Best Buy. This did not solve the issue. I returned it any purchased a Sony.

You will have to do some configuration in the menus to get it to look on par with mid level TV's. The only plus side of this TV is that it is cheap. A good TV for an office, or a kids room
