Well I was very skeptical when I bought this TV because I had never heard of this brand before I started shopping for a new TV. I was leaning towards an LG but the one I wanted at the time was discontinued and this TV was brought to my attention. After reading reviews and getting some advice, I purchased this TV and I’m very happy with it. It glitches once in a while but that may be because of my Internet. I would highly recommend this to anyone would wants a great tv at an affordable price.

It is a good tv. It is a 4 stars because it is not oled. One problem is that the block color is not right in the default setup. You need to turn off local dimming to see the true black for some darker scene. You would think it helps but it actually makes the scene worse. for world cup game, it is picture perfect.

Mediocre compared to TCL P series

Going to be quick and to the point here as much as possible. Bought this Hisense and the TCL 55P605 TV at the same time. Both were the same price at the time and the sales rep at the store I purchased it at convinced me this Hisense was the better of the two TV's, had the 120Hz native refresh rate and had better/truer colors than the TCL. I had spent the last 2 weeks or so researching 'budget' 4k TV's and went into the store planning on buying the TCL regardless. Took the two home and could almost immediately tell a difference between them. To keep the comparison quick and simple as I don't know much about fiddling with the visual settings on TV's, I kept them both at factory settings. I also hard wired both TV's to my router and used a new out of the box HDMI cable for both TV's. Here's my quick comparion: The Hisense: - was definitely a brighter display - when testing normal TV coming from my fios cable box the picture was about 50% worse than my 6 year old Insignia 108p LCD it replaced. - When testing SD netflix, the picture quality was about 20% worse than my old TV - when testing 4k youtube and Amazon content, the picture was definitely a marked improvement but some colors were saturated oddly and some of the finer details were hard to make out which I found odd for a 4k TV - Watched some 4k Soccer highlights on youtube and the TV suffered from major distortion during the fast movement (i saw there is a setting to help this but I wanted to see out of the box performance) - this TV being edgelit you could also see a faint white border on the very edge of the screen approx 1/2 from the actual edge of the TV - a pure black screen was also not uniform across the screen itself with 1 corner being noticeably lighter than the other three (noticed on multiple occasions) the TCL P Series - Not as bright as the Hisense - Pretty much every test mentioned above, the image was an IMPROVEMENT (up-scaled beautifully) from my old TV and was better than the Hisense - the TCL color was truer most of the time but sometimes the Hisense looked more 'alive' Ultimately I returned the Hisense the next day and have enjoyed the TCL P605. Hope this helps!

    Great TV, bad OS

Works great and is still getting much use today! Just not a fan of the OS. It only supports a very limited amount of apps, so I had to buy a Chromecast for apps like Hulu and Disney+.
