First time buyer here:
I got it on sale, roughly over $1077.08 (after tax). I absolutely LOVED uploading my photos, while I did take a bit longer than i had anticipated to fully set up, the picture quality, the matte display, perfect. I really think it does capture the true beauty of a "picture". I also appreciate the fact that unlike samsung, you get presets for photos that you don't need to pay a subscription for. Audio, is low key better than my bose 900 soundbar too, which is INSANE. I'd genuinely get another one for my bedroom. For my intention of a living room "frame" it is absolutely perfect.

I like the slimness of the tv and the surrounding frame. It blends in nicely with my furniture. It was simple to have my son install the wall mount. The remote is a bit frustrating as the back is difficult to open to change the batteries and will require some effort to give some traction to get it open. I googled the issue and it was suggested to try using rubber grips to stop the hands from sliding. Hisense really needs to work on the design of the remote to make the back easier to open. I also think that the sleep timer in the remote’s menu options should be easier to set. Every time the number of minutes is selected the time the tv will turn off appears and slows down setting the higher number of minutes which is annoying. I usually just go to the settings/power to set the timer which is easier to deal with. If you can deal with the nuisances then the tv is attractive when displaying the wall art options but realize that doing this keeps the tv on. If you power down the tv to off then the wall art will not show.

I wish there was an option for 4.5 stars! This TV has been everything I needed it to be and more.
While remodeling my basement, I wanted a TV with a sleek, picture-frame look to complement the two Samsung Frame TVs I already have upstairs. When I saw that Hisense had released a competitor, I was intrigued to see how it stacked up.
Installation
The installation was straightforward, but there’s one minor issue worth noting: for a TV designed to sit flush against drywall, the power cord requires an angled outlet. Even with a recessed outlet box, I had to cut a hole and adjust the power setup to make it work. A small hassle, but something to be aware of if you’re going for a truly flat-mounted look.
Performance
The colors are vibrant and HDR works well, though they’re not as vivid or perfectly tuned as my Samsung Frames. If you’re reading this, you’re probably comparing the two, and yes—Samsung wins in color accuracy. That said, unless you're a perfectionist about colors, the Hisense does a fantastic job. For anyone prioritizing the picture-frame aesthetic over ultra-precise visuals, this TV is a phenomenal choice.
Value
One huge bonus is that there’s no $5/month subscription fee for artwork like with the Samsung Frames. That alone makes this TV an excellent value for anyone who loves the picture-frame style without the ongoing cost.
Final Thoughts
If you're looking for a stylish TV that blends into your décor and offers solid performance at a fraction of the cost of its competitors, this is an outstanding option. Just go into it with the right expectations, and you’ll love it!

I love art mode. I didn't realize how pleasant it would be to have a different masterpiece on the wall ever time I walk into the room.
For those who care I also hooked it up to my PC over HDMI and was able to display at 4k and read the text at all edges of the display. (With other flag 55inch TVs the characters on the sides get hard to read)

picture was nice and the anti-glare is great. The picture frame option is more of a gimmick than a value. If you get for the frame; don't. If you need a TV for a bright room, this might work for you. I think the picture is avg and the frame is a gimmick, not a value. I don't recommend, but for some it might be fine, but not for us.

Took a while to get this in right, but I love it. It meets the goal of a great picture that can look like great art, hanging on the wall. Included art set is very nice, and even has toggle descriptions so you know what it is.
Picture is excellent, art mode is working reasonably well. Included frame is nice. Software is good. 20GB of storage is working well
Only major complaint is that it doesn't have WIFI 6. Nor ASTC 3.0, but that is complicated with license fees.
Quibbles:
* Cable routing through the channel in back makes it hard to get the TV to lie truly flat. Especially true if you want multiple cables.
* Adaptive backlight is all over the place, with the settings unclear as to what they apply to.
* A little tricky to set up auto on art; the settings are in a few different places
* The manual has mistakes
* Processor is a little slow, but fair enough for a compact design

The sound is excellent, and the picture is great. Due to the matte finish, watching during the day can be done without glare. The artwork is plentiful. I wish there were some of Picasso's, but I can upload the pictures I want. I've only had the TV for a week but I love it so far.

I bought this TV for my dad’s formal living room, and it’s been a perfect fit. The picture quality is fantastic and the Hi-Matte Display cuts down on glare, especially in Arizona, where he is.
My dad’s only minor complaint was the lack of bass in the built-in speakers. That said, after adjusting the audio settings, he was able to improve the sound enough to be satisfied especially considering the slim design doesn’t leave much room for powerful internal speakers. Overall, we knew what to expect from a flush-mount setup, and it absolutely delivers on quality. He can always add external sound if wanted.
Highly recommend for anyone wanting a sleek, stylish TV that doesn’t sacrifice visual quality.

Returned the Samsung Frame and went with the CanvasTV instead. Much better interface, faster, better sound, and the photos/paintings are all free, unlike Samsung. The remote also works with our Sonos sound system, unlike the Samsung remote. Would definitely recommend the Canvas over the Frame if you are debating between the two.

Exceeded expectations. Wife and I had been wanting a frame tv and after owning 2 Samsung tvs in the past 7 years we thought we would try a different brand this time. Was drawn to the Hisense for the included faux wood frame and the wall mount. Have been blown away with the quality of how these look like actual portraits on our wall.

Great tv, good sound and picture quality. A couple things I don’t like are that the viewing angle isn’t really much better than that of a typical tv screen. Also, it has this strange slight tint to the images when in Art Mode. When you click to leave Art Mode, it immediately flickers to the color settings that you’ve chosen… but for some reason those same settings won’t reflect when in AM, so at times it’s hard to get true tones such as whites and creams.
On a positive note, the audio is great :)

Art feature and frame means it's not just a big black box in my living room. Google TV was pretty easy to set up - still getting used to buttons on new remote. Very happy with my choice.

The tv itself looks really good and high quality. The only downside to it is the built in speakers on it are really bad for a TV at this price point. I also had a pretty bad experience at the best buy I bought this at but that's nothing against the product itself. I would just recommend buying from a different retailer.

Very happy with my purchase. Using it directly across from a bright window in my kitchen and the matte finish has no glare! Colors look great, art mode is wonderful when not in use as a tv. Only wish the viewing angle was as good as the U8...but oh well. Love both my Hisense 55" tvs! Absolutely recommend!

A nice alternative to Samsungs Frame TV and much cheaper too.
It looks good but when the room is even a little bright especially during day time, it’s hard to see what’s going on if the shows scenes get dark, but amazing when viewed in a darker room.
Wish it had more art options though the ones provided are good they get old quickly.
Wish they had a better phone app to sync and upload pics, though the current offering is usable it could be much better.

This is just perfect for what I need. Beatiful and works well. I am thinking to get samsun sound album to connect to this TV like the other one I have.

not paying for a subscription or anny extra mount makes this the best option for an art tv not the best quality on image but works amazingly for the type of art plus the teal frame combine perfectly with the setup
