This is a product that was extremely sought after when it was released. After all, us potter-heads have been waiting for an open-world Harry Potter video game for YEARS. Before talking about the value of this collectors edition product, I want to talk about the quality of the game and its story. The main story in itself is fantastic. You play the role of a wizard/witch that is a descendant of ancient magic that is extremely powerful, yet also extraordinarily difficult to control and comprehend. This ancient magic is also extremely sought after, and finds its way into the wrong hands. I won’t go much further, with the details because NO spoilers! Anyhow, you can expect to spend anywhere from 35-45 hours on the base game and am full story and sidequests. The game is extremely difficult to get 100% on based on the achievement requirements, which the community is very displeased about. All-in-all though, once the main-story is completed, the game tends to fall flat and becomes repetitive and underwhelming. You eventually become too powerful for fights to be a challenge even on maximum difficulty, and you will find that the enemies are all the same. There isn’t much change or surprises, and it’s very disappointing because it is a fantastic game with much potential. Now, back to the value of this Collectors Edition. It is $299.99… That’s a big chunk of muggle change. It comes with the base game, a steel book case (my favorite part of the set), some in-game bonus cosmetics, and a wand that floats atop a book that is powered by magnets. The magnetic wand display is pretty impressive, and it’s very cool to see, however you need it to be plugged in at all times in order for the magnets to work. It has a VERY strong package smell that is not very pleasant. It is also pretty big and bulky, so having it around can be a bit of a space-taker. As a Potter-head I will pay embarrassing amounts for Harry Potter memorabilia, but this felt like a bit of a high ask for what we were given. We were essentially paying extra for a floating wand and steel book case, but it is important to a collector nonetheless. I feel like this fell short on value though, and that is why I’m giving it 4 stars. Harry Potter Hogwarts Legacy is a great game with a wonderful story and a huge fan base that was extraordinarily eager in anticipation for this long overdue product, but had to pay a pretty galleon to get it. Ultimately the game was great, but didn’t last too long before it became mundane. But if I could go back to the first day I started playing and experience the initial excitement of it all over again, I would!

I had pre-ordered collector's for Xbox One last Nov before the release dates were all changed across platforms. After a few weeks of release date the reviews were indicsting that game performance was best using a PS5. I was upset that the best buy site had it as sold out. Today i thought to try my luck in person and the rep found me a PS5 collector's bundle out of state, under 1 hr drive. I got it and shoetly after bought a PS5 console as well. Ended up cancelling the pre-order for Xbox One and was fully refunded within the hour of canceling. Some times it's best to show up in person. I still cannot believ I found the PS5 Collector's or Hogwarts Legacy brand new weeks after release date. I'm one happy gamer.

This is one of my most anticipated games of 2023. I was able to secure two collectior editions for myself and my twin brother. The experiences and world this game crafts is next to none. I would highly recommend this game to Potterheads and those who love rpgs. This game captures the magic of the books and films down to every last detail.

The Harry Potter game we needed and the collector's edition collectible wand is something my wife loved getting as a gift! Gameplay, NPCs, combat system, and the world itself is amazing. The story could've been better if it was focused on the sidequest stories, but it was still an enjoyable story to play through. Even with all of the controversy surrounding the book's author, don't pass on this game. She had no involvement in the development and the studio that created it, Avalanche Software, did such an amazing job.

Whoever is giving 1 star review, you are messing it up for the people who want to know how the product, game is. Not get tricked thinking it sucks, only to find out every one who gave 1 star was because they didn't get the item in time. Take that up with Bestbuy, NOT give the product, game a negative review. The review is about the item, not your complaints. I saw low stars thinking people hated the product, game, once i read, i saw almost all is because they didn't get the pre order. Im sure they have customer service for that. Great product, great game, came on time with no problems.

For $300+ it was not that much stuff. The steel case is nice though.

Ive purchased multiple collectors edition for multiole games but this one was way overpriced, quality is extremely cheap, only book and wand that only levitates half an inch and you can tell this cost them no more than $20 to make. Id have paid it if this included more things or was cheaper but $300 is a rip off.

This collector’s edition definitely hit all the right items. From the steelbook case, to the add-on content, to a physical copy of the game (last few collector’s editions I’ve purchased have only came with digital copies), to the actual display itself with the floating wand, its great! Bought it as a gift for my fiancé since she’s a huge Harry Potter fan, and it did not disappoint!

Fantastic game, especially if you love Harry Potter. The book and floating wand are really cool as well.
