At the price, it wasnt worth cleaning the old one so I just upgraded to a new one. My main complaint was the switch is on the back of the fan which is kind of a hassle since its a window fan so you got to pull it out each time to change speed or turn on or off. Old one had the switch on top which was much better!

If you're an old person like me the first thing you'll notice is how thin the unit is. The days of the large frame are gone but it does have base stabilizers so it is pretty stable. It runs 24-7 and there have been no problems. She's happy so I'm happy.
