Surprised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used Lasco box fans for wuite some time now to cool our chicken houses. They are the same size and similar price. I was surprised that the layout of this fan was different. Normally the speed control is on the top of the fan and the cord comes out near the bottom of the fan. For this fan, the speed control is in the center on the back (near the motor) and the cord comes out here, too. The cord is also detachable, using what looks to be a relatively standard oval shape (you may be able to replace it with the one you had on your old razor or cassette player). Thinking about the layout, it makes sense, because they use less internal wiring this way. The fan seems to be thinner than what I have used in the past, which means putting it away will take slightly less space. In the configuration for which I use it, the control on the back of the fan makes it easier to mount it in a window in the chicken coop, without the control getting in the way. If you are putting it in a normal window, you no longer have to worry about the window coming down onto the control since it is on the back, but you also will need to take it out of the window to shut it off (assuming you are blowing air in).

Works really well, especially for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well balanced and no rattles. Moves air pretty well, and is cheap. What more can you ask for at this price?

Excellent small profile fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a small fan while working in the garage with the door open. The small profile allows it to fit anywhere in the garage without being in the way. The three speed fan is quiet and moves a sufficient amount of air at any speed which provides for a comfortable environment. Good value for the price.

Good price and meets expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This light weight, low cost box fan meets my needs to move cool air from one room to another. It limitations is it is tends to move around on tile floors unless stabilezed and it is noisy. It does not tend to fall over and the plastic blades are well-protected. It is a cost-effective effective device for moving cool air about the house. During the next storm-related power-loss it's low power requirement will be greatly appreciated as limited generator capacity powers multiple small entertainent and cooling devices.

powerful, sturdy, quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this fan, it is powerful (in the high setting), sturdy and quiet (in the low setting). it comes preassembled and ready to use out of the box. all you need is to connect the power cord to its back. also, two plastic stands are provided that clip on to the bottom and prevent the fan from tipping over.

Noisy fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This bargain-priced fan (under $10 on sale) has a lot of bang for the buck. However it is fairly noisy, even on it lowest speed, compared to a much older metal-cased model. Due to its light weight and narrow profile, it sits on a window sill well.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. We do not recommend using a box fan in your window. The motor is not rain resistant and not designed for this use. We do have great window fans available with front display controls and rain resistant motors. We will be happy to forward your comments to the product team.

Great for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little fan is powerful but a bit noisy. I purchased it to dry out my basement after a water leak. It dried the basement completely in about 24 hours. I just didn't like being able to hear it up stairs.

These are good box fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These box fans are compact, powerful & a good price. They work very well as exhaust fans that I put in my upstairs windows, when it is hot outside.

Good fan but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this fan to circulate the air around the house. It works great but it's a little noisey around the TV. I just put it in my bedroom to sleep with and it works just fine. If your looking for a quieter fan you will have to spend a few more buck$$

slim body quiet operation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this fan to enhance air flow in my shop. I have an older model box fan and this new one has a much sleeker design. The handel and power knob are both on the back and the power cord can be unpluged from the units back for easy storage. This fan is quiet and creates a strong breeze.

Great price for a 20" box fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much to review, it's a box fan. Nice air flow, descent sound level but the real reason to buy was the sale price. At the price it could die in 6 months and simply throw it away. Why spend a lot of money for a box fan?

Good fan for price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a decent fan for the price. It's your typical box fan. I've been keeping it running 24/7 and have not had any problems yet. Easy to take apart and clean.

Good Fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thw fan is pretty good for the price. I find it a bit loud also, the power/speed knob is located in an awkward position. All my previous fans had the knob on top.

It's a box fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say it's a box fan, it's cheap and puts out air, seems to be a bit more balanced then my old one that liked to dance around after 10 minutes of use.

Strong fan but no stand
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fan is very strong, but it is awkward to place it anywhere as there is no stand. it definitely moves a lot of air though.

Works fine for an economy box fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The good: (1) Blows large volume of air (2) Under $10 when on sale. The bad: (a) The switch and ac plug are located in the middle of the 'back' of the fan. So if you plan on placing this box fan in a window to blow air in, the switch will be towards the outside of the house (against the screen), along with the ac cord. If you can accept the inconvenience of the switch/cord location, fan works fine. I put mine on a 'Christmas Light' remote-controlled on-off switch, so though it allows me to turn fan on/off without removing fan from window, I still cannot change fan speed with removing it from the window to alter the switch. If you are using fan to blow air out of window, then switch/cord location would not be an issue. Overall, fan is not quiet, but it's not real loud either. Some have complained about significant vibration and shaking, but mine only exhibits minor to moderate shaking.
