So was skeptical while buying because of the noise. Turned out to be a good fan but with reasonable price tag. Noise was not that bad....

Given that, It is excellent. It is very quiet compared to my 18" Lasko fan, and product a great amount of air. This is a personal fan, so the wind is felt only 10' away. 5' basic cord, You must assemble the base and route the cord. I taped it up to the base so it stays at the exit cut-out. The oscillation is about 90 degrees and silent.
