I thought just the one speaker sounded great. This is my second one. I have them paired together. They get really loud and sound awesome.

This speaker has a really good design and the sound is very good. It's Bluetooth, so you can operate wherever you are in your home.

I got this for $299 during a sale ($100 off) so be I already have google home minis, Chromecasts, and Nest products in my home. All work fine with the Google Home app. The sound and base are good, and I used the Max in tandem with my Samsung 5.1 via my Chromecast Ultra to have a fuller sound when I’m streaming music in my living room. Only thing is, once you crank the music up, the microphone can’t hear you when u try to speak to the unit to use Google Assistant. If you’re playing loud music and wanna tell the speaker to play something else you either have to literally get right in front of the speaker and shout a command or use your phone.

Loud! Would sound great paired up with a second for stereo sound. I use Google for tons of stuff so this just fits right in my eco system.

Great sound quality, good balance on base and treble. I bought it when it was half off for black friday, it was well worth the wait.

this is a high quality smart speaker. The only problem I had with it was its size and weight. It takes up a lot of space and is heavy to move around.

I think my expectations were too high. I have a few Google Homes and Nest Audios, which I think sound pretty good. I'm not a fan of the sound from the Google Home Mini. I got the Home Max on sale and was expecting it to sound significantly better than the Home/Nest Audio. It does sound better (more full), but not as much as I had hoped. I do have it in a larger room than the Home/Nest Audios, so there is that difference which may be more significant than I'm thinking. I haven't compared it directly with the Home/Nest Audios in the same room. I would still recommend the Home Max if you can get it on sale, otherwise, just go with the Nest Audio.

If you're wedded to the Google ecosystem, like voice controls and want a loud and reasonably high fidelity bluetooth speaker, this is a good choice. Pretty much flawless in a Google Home environment. Only real negative is the footprint - this is large for a bluetooth speaker. The audio quality is ok - great in the bluetooth world, bass heavy and not particularly impressive for the hifi market. I didn't find the adaptive EQ to add much in a challenging kitchen environment. It was much better in a stereo pair than as a single speaker.

Great speaker, I have in my living room, It's perfect for entertainment, Strong bass, clear tremble. Very happy I bought and I plan on buying a second one.

If you are looking for a smart speaker you honestly cannot go wrong with the Google Home Max. I purchased a second one after getting my first one so I could run them in stereo it sounded so good. My wife and I are doing a lot more dancing now in the house since we got them and with COVID being stuck in the house still, that makes the price worth it. The music it produces is just as good if not better as some of the major big brands out there costing thousands of dollars.

I was very excited when I first received the Google Home Max. First thing that surprised me was the weight. For a small speaker, it is quite heavy. When I started hearing the sound, then I realized why it was so heavy. This device is completely well worth the price as the quality and volume of the sound cannot be matched. Add on top the google assistant, ability to connect to any device via either bluetooth or 3.5mm audio jack, and you've got a winning combination. No real issues or concerns from my end.

This was my solution after discovering the sonos alexa speaker was crap. The speaker is of good quality, gets plenty loud, and has no issues hearing me.

Easy to connect to network. Easy to network with other Google speakers in the house. Great sound. Bass is much better than smaller Google speakers (Mini, Home).

These sound amazing at all volumes. The low end extension is incredible for a speaker of this size.

Really like the speaker sound. Speciaally buying it on a deal. Did not give it 5stars due to the weight. On the heavier side...so not as portable.

Google Max is a great speaker for music. It also has the powerful Google assistant. The only reason I give it a 4 star is because of the price.

excellent sound. I own this and the HomePod. they sound very similar. this gets louder.
