When Marine Sgt. Nicholas Brody returns home following eight years in captivity, CIA agent Carrie Mathison thinks he has turned and is connected to a terror plot to be carried out on American soil, so she engages him in a dangerous game of cat and mouse that puts America's national security at risk. Later on, Carrie gets a promotion and returns to the front lines overseas. She is assigned to one of the CIA's most volatile and dangerous stations in the Middle East, where she is in the heart of battle in the war on terror. Years later, after being disillusioned and placing herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, Carrie becomes estranged from the CIA, eventually returning stateside where she works for a foundation providing aid to Muslims living in America.

Homeland is a great show. Full of action and suspense.

I purchased Season 1 and really got into the story. I do not get Showtime but I heard alot of people saying it was a good show. My husband and I take alot of road trips that are four to eight hours long so I purchased Season 2 so that while traveling in the car I can pass the time by watching shows and movies on my DVD player. I have enjoyed Season 2 and am looking forward to purchashing Season 3 at BestBuy when it is available.

This show is sooo good! I've never really paid much attention to Claire Danes since My so called life. But she can ACT! In S1 when she was off her medication & took a trip to crazy town.. that's when I knew. And Damien Lewis is good too. He does creepy really well. Good writing, great acting & very entertaining. You won't be disappointed.

Homeland is one of the most suspenseful shows on TV. It has a great cast of characters that you find yourself caring about. Claire Danes is wonderful in her role as Carrie Mathison, she is one of the most underrated actresses on TV. The best part of having the DVD set is not having to wait a week for the next showing.

I happened to stumble across this show when I got finished watching Dexter. I started looking at other shows on Showtime and saw that Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin were in it. I've loved them in other shows and movies and thought I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did! This show pulls you in from the first episode and never lets go! Outstanding plot and I can't wait for it to start again!

The second season of Homeland picks up a little after the end of the first season, and though it takes some time to get the main character back into the story it reminds me that paranoia should not be so entertaining. I don't know if I'm cheering for the main character to succeed or fail because I'm worried that a character that is manic-depressive may, in fact, be all that stands between the American public and a terrorist attack. Perhaps the intrigue I have with this show is how much access the American government is willing to give a crazy person so that they might catch other crazy people.

Amazing plot and characters. We only watch Homeland when we can get the whole season on DVD or streaming, because we can never just settle for one episode at a time. Claire Danes is a master at portraying the complexities of her tortured emotional and intellectual states. This season ends in true devastation and it is hard to imagine what will happen next.

THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS CREATE CHAOS AND MAYHEM WITH EVERY MOVE THEY MAKE. THEY MUST PRETEND AFFECTION TO EACH OTHER UNTIL IT MOVES PAST DECEIT, AND TO TURNS REAL. THE SPARKS WILL FLY AS IT BECOMES HOT AND HEAVY BETWEEN CARRIE AND BRODY. SUSPECTED TERRORIST IS ON CARRIES MIND AND BRODY FITS THE PROFILE.

This is the season that proves that the amazing first season was not a fluke. Good luck getting to bed on time because this will keep you glued to the couch for episode after episode. After you finally finish the season and turn the lights off, you'll probably be dreaming about it.

I consider Season 1 of Homeland to be one of the best seasons of television ever. Season 2 stepped up, developed more of the characters, had better action, and had even more intriguing story lines than season 1. Highly recommended.

We purchased the 2 seasons to get caught up in anticipation of season 4. We watched both seasons after supper daily for 10 days and cannot stop talking about the previous episodes. Bring on season 5!

microsoft gave me a new sp3 but again failed to note(even though you could find it in their online reviews) that a sp3 needs a powered external drive since the usb port is apparently and suspectly designed with less power than normal....

Having finished season one, I dove right in to season two. This series is one of the best that has been televised. Suspense, action, interesting characters with real depth, complex plot--what more could you ask for?

As a Marine this show was hard to watch....in a good way. Understanding how someone could come to the same decisions he did, but also hating him pulled at my heart strings every episode. I strongly suggest this show.

Very good follow up to season 1. My expectations weren't very high, because of some of the reviews I read. If you have any doubts about season 2, ignore them, because this season is just as good as the 1st season.

we wanted to watch seasons 1-4 of Homeland again as they are no linger available on Showtime. The price match to Amazon pricing was processed and we bought the 4 season at a reduced price. I love Best Buy!!

For those of you who love addictive shows -- AND binge watching all night long -- this set is for you! (Be sure to see Season 1 and Season 3, as well!) Every episode is a perfect cliff hanger.

Homeland is a great show! Great writing and great acting. Once you start watching it you'll be hooked and need to keep watching. It's super addicting. If you don't watch it you need to start!

great show, great characters awesome story lines, when watching on showtime couldn't wait till next week next show, with dvds get to action one after another. you wont be unsatisfied
