I was nine years old when this movie came out and really enjoyed it. Sure, the special effects are a bit dated now, but the movie overall holds up pretty well (it's definitely better than the sequels). There's actually a bit more depth to the storylines and characters than I remembered. My one gripe with the DVD--no special features. There was a behind-the-scenes special that aired on the Disney Channel back in the day and they didn't even put that on the DVD! Come on, Disney! The movie's 30 years old this year and nothing (yes, I realize this DVD was released several years ago, but there's no anniversary editions available).

This movie is a classic. I saw it when I was 8 years old, and my eyes bugged out when I saw it for $3.99. The special effects are great for a 90s movie, great story, and good message to younger kids about how strangers can be brought together despite differences. Love this movie.

If you want a movie that will appeal to tweens, this movie is a good choice. It is a family comedy with a unique twist and amazing special effects. This isnt a current movie, but will still entertain young audiences with this cute story line.

I purchased this movie for movie night with the kids. They are 7 and 10 and they both really liked the movie. I would recommend to families with younger kids.

I bought this because I loved watching this as a kid & I wanted to start sharing movies from my childhood with my 6 & 8 yr old sons...they love it too!!

This movie was so good back in the day, and it mostly holds up. Effects are superb for their time and it’s still a really fun family adventure flick.

I viewed movie when I was a kid, my son loved it especially when they found the large cookie with cream filling and slept in the lego.

Honey I shrunk the kids. What’s not to love?!? Do yourself a favor and pick this up for a fun night of entertainment for the whole family.

I watched this movie when I was a kid. I work in an Extended Care program with kids in TK-8th grade. They loved this movie too!

A wonderful fun experience for the whole family. A science fiction inspired film ahead of it's time in quirky special effects.

Movie night with the kids and had the whole time lauging with quality family time! Much recommended to watch this classic movie.
