I have 1 in living room and 1 in kitchen. I prefer warm mist. It raises humidity faster, no more itchy skin, nose bleeds and static shock. The cool mist leaves white residue no matter what kind of water I used. Price is awesome.

We even tried the menthol liquid that is recommended but the humidifier did not even evaporate the liquid over a 12 hour period. The 1 gallon tank is also nice as it will last the whole night. However, it gets a poor rating given that we did not notice any changes in our symptoms when using the humidifier.

The mist that comes out does not over dampen the environment around it. The floor does not feel slippery and I have hardwood floors. The pump is quiet enough where you don't notice it being on. The self shut off feature is great, worry free.
