I have two cats and the machine efficiency drops pretty quickly as the machine fills up with cat hair and dust. Cleaning the lower grate means using a screwdriver which takes more time and effort. Also, the bottom drain plug location makes it difficult to drain. Overall, I would recommend the unit for portability and functions.

The opening for the exhaust tube is too low on the machine. The tube is heavy and it will pull out of the window. I have another machine where the connection port is higher up and I have no problem with it pulling down.

The self evaporating system worked flawlessly. During the heat of the day it kept our bedroom at 72 degrees and at night as low as 67 degrees. The noise also isn't as bad as some of the other reviewers complained about. But we are used to having a fan on because even with our ac working it gets hot. So its about as loud as having a small tower fan blowing. Worth every penny. We are extremely satisfied with this product.

Good Value and decent cooling

However, setting it to go a few hours before being needed it works great and is very quiet as well.

We were very pleased with it's performance. Cooled the room (160 sq ft) down very quickly and kept it that way. Read the instructions carefully and you should not have any installation problems.
