This unit was to replace a unit that had been under a Geek Squad contract, and which had been used in a room where gravity drain was possible. However, when I moved the unit to a room that required that the pump-out be used, it wouldn’t pump any water at all. I returned that unit. I let this new unit sit in its operational position for more than 24 hours, to make sure that if any coolant had been moved to the wrong place in shipping, it could return to the right place. Then I ran the unit for a day without hooking up the pump-out tubing. That worked fine. Then I hooked up the pump-out tubing, and routed it out a window from the below-grade room I needed the device for. There is a 5 1/2-foot rise, but the unit is specced for 15 feet. That worked fine for exactly two days, then stopped. The ambient humidity read 54% on the unit, and a bucket at the end of the tube didn’t collect one drop more of water. The weather station sensor in the house started reporting rising humidity, and the other two dehumidifiers in the house began to run without stopping. Finally, I popped the pump-out tube from the unit, and as soon as I powered it back on, the humidity reading changed from 54% to 88%, and the bucket began to fill immediately. I returned this replacement device also.

This unit has been nothing short of a waste of money. It shuts off on it's own and the unit must be unplugged and plugged back in to become responsive. The humidity control is nowhere near accurate (I set the unit to 55% and the unit will be reading 35% and it will run non stop. I'll be contacting Honeywell to pursue refund/reimbursement for this awful unit. Please save yourself the hassle and money and look at other products!!!

Runs for 4-7hrs then dies. Requires hard power cycle to restart, just to die again. Pc board issue which is not repairable. 1 star for when it works, but given the need of moisture control product is unsat.

If I could give this a zero score, that would be it. Purchased this and the drain pump quit working after a month and a half. Contacted customer service which sent me out a replacement unit. Worked fine for 2 weeks now it won’t even turn on. Not happy, look elsewhere and save yourself the grief.

Waste of money absolute garbage lasted maybe 3 weeks then quit on me. On top of that its annoyingly loud. Dont waste your money folks you'll just end up returning it.

We have an open two story foyer and our upstairs is noticeably more humid as we ascend the stairs, but not anymore since we’ve been using this. It does run 23 hours a day (Atlanta summers are humid) and shuts off automatically (for it’s one hour reset as described) but starts up by itself. Love how I NEVER have to empty it. I literally plugged it in, put the drain pump house in my utility sink, set the controls and after a month I haven’t touched it. We just bought another for my FIL.
