I had reservations about this unit, but they were soon disbanded. It took a total of 15 minutes to unpack and setup. It won't cool your whole house, but it will cool two large rooms. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this knowing it would help us during the really hot days in Northern California. I don't use it during the day just at night so we can sleep. I love the thermostat feature! I bought this one specifically because it does not have a drain hose connected all the time, you drain the "tank" either when it is full or when your done using it. I get hot days only a few times during the summer and fall months so investing in a whole house AC unit is not realistic. Very easy to set up.

This unit works pretty good for what it is. Note that if you're deciding between this and a window unit, this unit shines because it doesn't stick out of your window. It does radiate some heat through the exhaust tube which is detrimental to its cooling ability. I have a 500sq ft area to cool which is right on the edge of what this unit is recommended for. If I could go back, I would have purchased the 12,000btu window unit for around the same price. I have an LG window unit upstairs that never works very hard to cool the space. This unit will run constantly if I keep it below 78.

Nice to be able to move this around with little effort. Cools pretty well but doesn't get really cold on 90 degree days.

I use this on the second floor of a bungalow consisting of a bedroom, half-bath and sitting area -about 350 sq. ft. total. It doesn't cool the whole area, but works well in just the bedroom. There is probably poor insulation in the eaves and between the ceiling and roof. The exhaust hose in the plastic panel pulled away from the window so I placed a couple of books under it which seems to work. The window doesn't seem heavy enough to hold the panel in place.

Attractive unit, quite, cools well for rooms less than 500 Sq Ft

I bought this to replace a portable ac unit I purchased last year. The one from last year worked well until I tried to use it this year and it wouldn't work at all. This new unit cools my kitchen and living room very well! Overall I am pleased. I have three gallon bucket that I use for catching the condensate water and I have to empty it daily, it removes a lot of the humid air we have in Ohio. This unit was considerably higher in cost so I hope it continues to work for the years ahead.

Right now, this is the only a/c in the house. It stays in my and my wife's bedroom. It cools the room nicely. The unit is quiet, and the permanent filter is easy to access and clean. We are happy with the purchase, and have nicknamed it R2D2.

Not what I expected.easy to install and quiet. Was actually looking for more BTU's but none were available.

I got this A/C unit at a good price and it does a good job of keeping my bedroom cool. I would recommend for small to medium sized rooms.

This unit works great and it isn't very loud. Using in my office where the A/C is cut off at night and the building gets really warm. Now I don't dread having to work late!

Easy to use and very quiet over other models I have used. Keeps a large feeling comfortable and fresh!

I do a lot of work in the garage. The room is well insulated but is still open to outside air circulation. The portable AC unit cooled the room and kept it in a very comfortable way. It would be over 100 outside and just above 80 inside. The unit was cooling an area larger than it was rated for. I supplemented with 2 additional portable fans. Heaven.

Easy to install. I am asking the unit to cover 1000 sq ft - 2X the recommended 500 Sq ft. While the unit does not reach the set point temp it does offer significant relief from the outside heat. (Record setting 100 degree days here today). Unit appears reliable running 24/7 with no issues.

Bought this for our apartment. It is not overly loud (we have it in our bedroom). It does a great job cooling the space. I will probably get another for the living area next summer.

Nice unit for emergency situations bought this during hurricane Floyd.Easy set up. No power for days cooled the room right down and took the humidity out of the room.

We bought this unit to replace a 2 year old Frigidaire which constantly leaked and probably never worked right. This new unit makes half the noise and is perfect for our garage bath application. It really cools the bathroom and half of the garage as people tend forget to close the door.

I bought this air conditioner two years ago For my son and it has been a fantastic air conditioner. It is large and has to vent through a window that is set up it’s good for that. Because his 900 and square-foot apartment really well

Unit was easy to set up right out of the box.Started cooling mode first.Worked great in living room for the afternoon.Moved to bedroom at night,kept room very comfortable.Can't seem to get it to drain correctly in dry mode but probably won't need to dry that much.
