I’ve NEVER had a leaking issue. This unit, however, is leaking horribly - after about an hours use. I’ve tried a couple of things, but I don’t know how to stop it. Other than turning off and returning it. Any suggestions? It’s leaking so bad that it took about 5 towels to get the water out of the carpet. I’ve mirrored the settings on the unit I have in my room with the unit I have in my bedroom. They are the same. The one in my living room doesn’t leak. Is this defective?

Don't be fooled by pictures

The pictures make it appear to have 2 hoses (2 large vent hole on back) but only a single hose connects.

Posted .You are correct this is a single hose unit and we sell it as a single hose, we don't sale any dual hoses. Sorry that the B Buy sales person told you it was a dual hose he did the wrong thing. I hope you will not penalize our company with for something we did not do!
You can always call us at 800 474 2147 and get guidance on this products. In your particular case we can even recommend a good competitor as again we don't currently sell dual hose portable air conditioners. Regards G.C.

Called Honeywell and they told me to try it in a bedroom, I told them of course it will cool a bedroom it's cooling 1/2 of what it's rated for bottom line is if you want to cool 2 or 300 sq ft it would probably be fine but at 14,000 but it should cool more

The box was beat up to begin with. After 1 month of use, the unit would only run for 1 hr before needing to be drained. It drains a half gallon of water every hour. Horrible purchase.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been suffering from the hot summer for 11 years since I moved into my current house. my large bedroom is at the end of the building on the second floor. during the hot summer time, with my center air on, my room can still easily reach 85F-90F plus after 11 am. I have been looking for a portable air conditioner for few years. I was hesitated buying one due to the negativity on most of the reviews of each products/brands and from friends experience that they ended up return their portable air conditioner. I finally set up my mind and decided to give it a try. Ordered online from Best Buy, they delivered it withing 3 days via UPS. box is ripped when I received it, but I think it is the UPS at fault. Installment was simple and easy. moving the machine upstairs to my room takes some effort due to its weight. Since I first time turn it on, I know I will keep it (unless something went wrong during the refundable 15 days) and will not suffer the LA hot summer anymore. I got an additional 20% off from Googling the Best Buy coupon code--thanks for the one review that I read...it saved me $110 on this unit. I will definite recommend this product to anyone. Noise?? yes, it is quite loud; but it does not bother me more than the summer heat in my room. you pick--noise or the heat???
