Was easy to use right out of the box. Mother-in law has to have humidifiers going when she visits so this humidifier was must.

I'm returning this humidifier after 2 weeks of use. It doesn't seem to produce any humidity! I don't mind the noise. It's more like white noise and not too loud. I like the light feature, the ease of filling, and the running "stream". But it just didn't seem to be putting any moisture in the air. Our room is in the 480 sq. ft range (as stated in the specs) . But it's possible that it's because we have cathedral ceilings in our bedroom and it's just not big enough for our room.

This was my first and possibly last cold, clammy air humidifier. A blower forces air through pads kept wet by water pumped up from the tank. My pump failed completely just after the 30-day return date, though a replacement is $12, or I could send the entire thing back for warranty coverage. The pump suffers from cheap manufacturing with a very loose brass sleeve bearing and end float that increase with use. At some point, the impeller gets too far away for the magnetic coupling to work. I get it to work again by wrapping Teflon thread tape to reduce end play and add waterproof grease to the bearing. Even on low, there is more noise than ultrasonic or warm air types. Humidification declines as pads collect calcium or rust deposits.
