Product definitely cools place down (600sf great room) and emits a bit of noise. A cautionary note: IF you are running a 15-Amp circuit be aware that this unit draws 10.5 amps. Anything else connected on same circuit (TV; Computer etc.) can result in circuit being tripped. I re-routed with a 25-ft, 12-gauge extension cord, to another circuit in my home with far less stuff running. I would NOT hesitate to buy again so don't let the noise deter your purchase.

I live in a warm state to say the least. Last year, I purchased this unit to serve as a single room AC. It totally changed our habits. The outside temperature was at about 100 degrees while my room was at about 75 degrees. I could have made it cooler if I wanted to, but decided not to get greedy. I didn’t want the unit to give up on me. I’ve ran it for several hours at one time without any trouble. The only negative about this unit is that it can get somewhat loud times. I have to say, comparing this to the Whynter HS14, I would definitely go with this one. I have very little to complain. It definitely cooled me during the hot summer. I highly recommend it.

During Hurricane Irma we had no electric but we had a generator and we were able to use this in our bedroom so we could sleep. During day we moved it to the living room and it helped us while we cleaned up from flooding and the sorts.

To be the first ac it does the job I bought it due to my ap was very hot and I have dogs so every night I have it on, my dogs seen to like it it’s a little noisy on cool mode but with the heat it dosnt matter cuz it cool the room love how it has wheels so I can move it from one room to the other.

This was easy to install except the plastic insert for window broke while Installing. Keeps it really cool and really fast and I would buy it again :)

Although it has not been 100 degrees. My boyfriends home has a bunch of rooms which makes it hard to keep cool. This ac works well. It takes humidity out of the air and stays 70 degrees on the first floor. We are both very pleased.

Best portable ac ive had so far. Totally worth it! Ice cold, quiet and easy to use . It only Takes A few minutes to cool down the whole room

My two California bred daughters are living in Evanston this summer and, though used to long hot summers, were not prepared for the extreme heat and humidity in the Chicago area. This air conditioner works so well cooling and dehumidifying their apartment that they had to buy a 5 gallon bucket to collect all the water (and it has to be emptied a couple of times a day). It has made their summer in Evanston infinitely more enjoyable!

This air conditioner works great and it is the quietest portable air conditioner I have ever owned and this is the third. I don’t know about the heat but it won’t be much longer

I use this unit in my bedroom. I have built a platform for it to sit on and drain water easily. I would definitely recommend.

Best thing I bought all summer- so easy to set up and use- it works great!!

It is working really well so far as both a dehumidifier and air conditioner. The only thing I don't care for is that the fan is always running. Yes, it helps to circulate the air. But I wish that there was an option for it to only cycle as needed.

My Rooms have small windows, smallest window size conditioner Ive found is 13in high. These units fit horizontal or vertical windows.

First of all It is NOT 14,500 BTU's It is 14,000!! I ordered one and when I got it the box clearly says 14,000 BTU's. I took it back to my local store and they looked at there online ad and agreed that it is only 14,000 BTU's. They did give me $90.00 off so I brought it back home and it seems to work just fine. Even though I could have bought a lesser priced 14,000 BTU A/C unit. They worked with me and that's good customer service.

Best buy has this unit as a dual hose and I picked up 2 units. Unloaded them by myself, they weigh 76 pounds a piece. Got them into the house then found out they are only SINGLE HOSE. Meanwhile, my home is over 80 degrees and I have to wait for a call back from Best buy online ordering. Now I will have to reload them on my own and waste gas taking them back. I desperately need air conditioning for my family. How can I order anything else when BestBuy gives bad information? Probably wont be compensated for any of this headache.
