Bought this to beat the heat during a recent hot spell this summer. I have another brand downstairs in the family room which cools well but is pretty noisy. I read reviews saying this one is quiet enough for a bedroom and it is true. We have a pretty large master and it cools down the room in 30 minutes even on a hot day and this unit is quiet enough to leave on all night while we sleep. Easy to install

The Honeywell 12,000 btu portable air conditioner has proven to be a big help. It works as advertised. I only wish I would have purchased the 14,000 btu model. Well built, easy to install.

we purchased this unit for a rental property which does not have central air conditioning. the tenants are quite happy with this unit as it keeps the 3 main rooms cool. they supplement the bedrooms with fans. we will put in central air in the 1st floor with a subsequent project and move this unit to the 2nd floor where it is difficult to run new ductwork. the portability is truly worth considering if you have an apartment.

This AC works very well. It kept my bedroom nice and cold.

I used this in a 400 sq. ft. area. on the top floor of my house on a very hot day. It was very easy to set up and cooled the room in about 20 mins! Ran continually for the entire weekend with no issues whatsoever. I am extremely pleased with this purchase!

For being fairly compact it certainly cools my room really nice. It actually cools the entire apartment for a fraction of the cost of running the central air. The window attachment for the exhaust was just about useless though since it's waaaay to long for any of our windows but gerryrigging some cardboard was no big deal.

We use this to cool a rather large bedroom on the second story and it's been doing a great job. It has been running on high speed temp set in the mid 60's 13 hours a night for over a month without any issues or problems. To some it could sound loud if you're using it in a day time room, to us it's great noise to sleep to.

We purchased this unit for our second floor apartment and it works great! I wish the hose were longer so we could put it in a different window but overall we are really happy with the cool air it produces. We have 14ft vaulted ceilings and a ceiling fan which help to circulate the air, but it keeps our living room, dining room and kitchen right about 75 when it's 95+outside. Definitely a great unit!

Our Daughter's room has several computers going on much of the day. Causing her room to get unbearably hot. We put this A/C unit in her room ...problem solved. It works great. Easy to install. And not too much noise.

We have a large house and have not had a working air conditioner in our upstairs for years! The cost of running air throughout this house is exorbitant so we heard about the Honeywell and desperately wanted our bedroom to be cool throughout the summer nights. We had heard about this unit from some friends and decided to give it a try. Because it’s an old house our windows are much older and it was going to be a bit of a problem to finagle the large hose so that it fit into a window where we have a desk that goes against it but in the end we managed and I must tell you I have never slept so well in the past several weeks that we have been in the early part of this summer. I am hoping it is as efficient in the high temperatures of summer as it has been in the more moderate days. But the unit cools down and keeps our room right where we like it between 67 and 68 we just have to keep the doors closed and isolated from the rest of the upstairs I would suggest this unit to anyone!

This replaced a portable A/C I had from Costco... and I couldn't be happier! It's not that noisy... cools my studio apartment pretty quickly... it doesn't leak but I have a tray under just in case. It cut my electric bill nearly by half switching to this A/C! Only thing - it's super heavy! Especially if you're bringing it upstairs.

My room area (garage/shop) is larger that the 550 sq ft recommended, but this AC keeps the room comfortable and removes the humidity. I am confident it would cool the recommended room size very well. The fan blows strongly and distributes the cold air up and in all directions.
