This thing gets hot but the heat extends to about 1 inch from the actual appliance. Get something with a fan in order to move the heat around and actually feel it.

Horribleness

Boy was I wrong. The heater lasted 7 days. It started smoking, making popping noises and the oil started leaking. I was sent a new one (not)...it arrived in terrible shape.... that's two strikes. They are sending me a shipping label to return it. This is so frustrating.

Not worth the money

Even left it on overnight and it generated very little heat. Returned it and exchanged it for a Vornado. I don't recommend it. Sorry.

This heater stop whenever desired temp reached but it make loude clicking noise as soon as it start again. This is very enjoying in middle of night.

Great Portable Heaters

Our heat went out when the temps outside were in lower single digits and the two heaters still managed to keep my first floor at 65 degrees. The space that is being heated is large and is not open plan, so I was pretty happy that it was still as warm as it was.

I set it to 70 degrees and once it reaches set temp, it goes to standby mode - a definite energy saver. I have not noticed any increase in my power bill and I've had this unit since the winter of 2013-2014. I was tired of being cold on my side of the office! My space is about 11' x 13'. You can also set it to turn off automatically - and it really does turn off! I like it so much I'm going to get another one for a different area.
