Installed by my A/C contractors, it was a simple and quick task for them. My learning curve was easy. My Internet network allowed the two thermostats to communicate with Honeywell. When a wiring problem was detected, it emailed me and gave a local Honeywell contact. Yes, it does remotely control temperature. It asks how long are you to be away.

Have had this thermostat for almost a year - it has worked flawlessly with no issues. The geo-fencing option is nifty but found it to be trouble for me. No connectivity issues and works from anywhere to control temps. A good alternative for Nest.

I was first unsure about making the purchase since there were not many reviews out there for this one (2nd Generation) and everyone else told me to go with the Nest or Ecobee. Installation was simple and since I had a duel fuel system (heat pump and furnace), I thought it would be incompatible, but it sure WORKED! I had to call customer service for a quick question and they were very helpful and patient. This is simple to set up on your own. I love how you can just change the temperature from wherever you are (home or away form home)!

It took some time to get it set up but it was NOT Lyric's problem the new hub we bought was blocking it. I like that it works with Smart Things and once set up is easy to use. Sorry we did not get it sooner.

Thermostat was easy to install and even easier to use love the geofencing capabilities as well as HomeKit compatibility love that u can set presets

My wife and I work long hours that vary from day to day. Because of this, a learning Thermostat, like a Nest, will not work. There's nothing to learn. The Lyric was the perfect solution for us - it uses geofencing so it knows when we leave home and when we're on our way back home. Perfect! Also, the Thermostat itself is so easy to use, that my 80 year old mother in law has no problem with it.

I love how i can access my temp of my home through my phone. The look is very sleek and easily manageable.

Easy set up, geofencing seems to work very well and it's just a very neat thermostat. Would recommend!

The Good: Easy install. Simple design and controls. By default 3 schedules (Home / Away / Sleep) with the ability to add more custom schedules as needed. The Bad: No web based access, and the application needs to hit the Lyric “cloud” which seems to always have connection issues. Geofencing (the only real reason to buy this thing) seems to work about half of the time. I assume because of the connection issue. No history of your temp changes. If this thing connected, so history, and had a web interface it would be a slam dunk. Until then it is what it is.

Very easy install, simple wifi setup . So far working great.

The Lyric is easy to install and does a great job.

great device,set it up and it does the rest. it has a geo fence when you get outside of it it raises the temp.to a preset setting . comeback inside the geofence and it resets

Installation and setup was easy. Only downside is it uses a AA battery unlike the other popular brand which uses rechargeable lithium battery. Wish if they added more accessories and wall plates with it.

I compared this and the Nest and at the end of the day I chose the Honeywell Lyric. This thermostat was easy to set up and sync to my phone. It's temperate readings are accurate and the perimeters I've set have been great.

Absolutely love it. It does more then is started with home kit hub for automation also I have seen money savings on energy!!!!!

i bought this needing a thermostat that would switch between ac and heat automatically. It has many more cool features I don't use.

This device was so easy to set up! Once we had it up and downloaded the app it has worked great.

An upgrade from an older version. Works well with my Samsung SmartThings, coupled with Alexa.

Replaced a Nest that would not work well with my new HVAC system. The Honeywell works perfect.
