The output is enough to keep a small bedroom comfortable, I wouldn't try to use it for a whole house. There is no water level sensor nor humidity sensor, so it stays on when it is out of water (which doesn't hurt anything). I usually fill the water before I go to bed, that's enough to keep running through the night. It has worked reliably, a good device at a low price.
