Advertized as quiet, fan was quiet for about 2 weeks and thereafter extremely noisy, returned item

This is a good machine. It cleans the air, smells in kitchen and living room, and removes allergens. Plus it cools the air. It has a nice fan to distribute the air - and clean air is cooler. It is great at night because it is quiet, yet offers that calming noise that helps peaceful sleep. Gets rid of all the dust from a carpet

This air purifier has been a great purchase for me. I have 2 dogs and it keeps pet hair down tremendously since I have been using it. I clean the filters about once every 2 weeks and the amount of stuff that comes out of them is phenominal. The filters are very easy to clean all you do is run them under tap water and shake them off to dry. It is very quiet even on the high fan speed and the oscillating feature makes a huge difference to me. When you pull it out of the box all you have to do is install the filters and plug it in, it is very easy. I would definitely recommend this air purifier.

About 8 or so years ago, I bought a very similar model to this one. That model didn't oscillate but had three speeds and included the permanent filters as this one does. I have to say that I actually liked that one better than this one (unfortunately it recently died). Here are the reasons why: 1) The older model was louder. I liked having the "fan white noise" when I was sleeping. This newer model is as described; whisper quiet. I have to put it on the highest fan level to hear it which is fine, but I miss having the option of being able to use the medium and high fan levels to have the fan noise. If you are using this in a living room, the quiet will be perfect but I am only using it in my bedroom so it's not exactly what i was hoping for. 2) It doesn't seem to freshen the room as much nor does it blow out the air as strongly as the older model. The older model worked wonders. The air was so clean and clear and I'd wake up feeling like I could breath better. This one hasn't had the same effect and maybe it's just that I haven't had it very long and need to give it more time?? 3) It's not a true HEPA filter, which I knew when I bought it. Thinking that I maybe should have gotten one that was, had I known this one wasn't going to be as good as my original purifier that I purchased years ago. On the other hand, here are the reasons why it's a decent air purifier: 1) It's nice that it oscillates. It actually works like a fan and will be nice in the summer when it's warmer out. Can make things a bit chilly if you are using it in a small bedroom, in the winter, but I don't mind it being a little cooler so it's not too big of an issue for me. 2) Energy efficient! This was a huge selling point for me. Not that my last one cost that much to run but this one has a good energy rating and I always appreciate appliances like that. 3) Permanent filters! I loved this with my last one and was huge selling point for me to purchase the newer one. It's so easy to just vacuum and/or wash the filters rather than having to buy new ones all the time. All in all, the purifier will work. It's not the greatest but for what I need, it's ok. If you have severe allergies/asthma, I wouldn't recommend it, I don't think it's going to be that effective for serious issues.

This air purifier worked great for the first 2 weeks. My asthma fits at night decreased after using it and it also helped to get rid of the cat litter smell. However, now the oscillator does not work properly, and I have only had the fan for a little over a month. It does not turn all the way like it used too, and it makes a low knocking noise as it struggles to turn. The fan itself is fairly quiet though. I still use it because it does help me breathe better and the knocking noise doesn't bother me when I sleep, but for the price I paid, I should have received a much better product.

All I know is I'm suffering less from my allergies. I keep one purifier in my bedroom, and I'm literally waking up with less significant allergy symptoms. The second purifier is set-up centrally in my living room. Although the unit is not rated for a room its size, the air still smells and feels cleaner throughout the house. Better, any left over cat litter odor is now non existent. I'd reccommend to anyone.

This model definitely does the job. When I walk in the room where the air purifier was working, I call tell the difference in the air quality. I'd advise new users to run the machine in a large room for a few hours to clear out the new air purifier smell. It will dissipate over the short term. It's an excellent buy.

I purchased this product to help with my allegies. This air purifiers is one of the best that I have seen. It is very quite and easy to clean the filters. This is a great buy for the price. I would recommend this product to everyone.

On low very quiet. Have to clean filters every month. Cleaning is easy to do.

Very good air purifier for the money. I find that it is pretty effective at removing the common airborne particles in my home. I have it in a large bedroom and have noticed that the amount of dust on my furniture has been reduced. The only negative thing is the noise one of the fans makes. It almost sounds like its rubbing on something. I considered returning it but I just turn the power on and off and the noise stops.

Good filter, made a difference in the house within hours. I've had it running for 24 hours for nearly 2 weeks. When I got it, I ran it for about a day in each room and now just have it in the living room where it runs without being noticed.

We use this filter daily and it has removed a good amount of dust in the room. Placement does make a difference, you. Ant put it in a corner and expect it to catch all the dust. Cleaning the filters is pretty easy, it does take quite awhile to get some buildup, I guess that also depends on how much pollutants are in the space it's in. Overall great product, not too loud,

A friend of mine has been using this appliance for over 5 yrs. He is very please with the product. After the many praises I got one for myself a yr ago and am not disappointed of my choice it is a must for those in search of a purifier.

I love the two filters I got. They are quiet and clean the air wonderfuly.

This product is a very good buy for your money. For asthma sufferers, allergy sufferers, home owners that have pets, it sure does clean the air inside the house. I am 100% satisfied with this product.

I purchased this because of allergies. There is a lot of wind and dust in our area and within a few hours there was a noticeable difference. I love the washable filter! It is quiet and very sleek looking. It has sure been great for the dust and pollen allergies.

This filter is one of the best investments I have made in awhile. It works so good that you really can notice the difference in two days. I no longer wake up feeling completely congested. The filter in it works surprisingly well.

Ive had this unit for about 2-3 weeks now and it has greatly reduced, among other things, the annoying dust in my family room. My girlfriends daughter suffers from asthma and other allergies, and her symptoms are also greatly reduced when she is here.... totally better than in the past. I suffer from mild allergies myself as well, and my symptoms have all but disappeared as well. I am very happy that I bought this air purifier.
