This is the best. We have tried others from Sharper Image, and they all had to be replaced. The oscelating is great and it's very simple to clean. In fact, I'm now purchasing another one!!! We have 4 dogs, 2 cats and it does wonders for the air control, plus odor.

I originally bought this item in March 2009 and thankfully bought the extra coverage, because I've had to take it back for a new one 4 times. It seems like after a few months of use, the oscillating base will either squeak, click, knock or sound like a creaky door. Sometimes simply turning off the oscillate feature for an hour will solve the problem, but only for a short time. Clearly, I should've paid a little more for a better purifier. I would NEVER recommend this to anybody!!!

I noticed the air even smelled better after 1 day of usage but the minor rattling is annoying. Sometimes it's intermittent. I took it apart to no avail. I could not locate what was rattling. I liked this but cannot recommend it if noise annoys you.

Put this in office with smoker. Just minutes after smoking you can enter room and have no clue someone was smoking in there. Works great, easy to maintain (needs cleaning every couple months). Ocillation means it can cover the entire room quickly. Worth the money.

My boyfriend is allergic to cats and is just moving in with me. I bought this to see if it really could eliminate some of the dander, as we are both quite fond of the little beast and want to live in harmony. The extent of his allergy has dissipated a ton! He can breathe at night and we can even let her sleep with us. I'd pay even more for this if I had to - it was well worth it.

Allergies and asthma will improve in no time. Plug it in every room you go.

Hi I know some of you would dissagree with me, but this thing doesnt really clean anything. I started off buying a Lasko ion fan. this was a powerfull fan but no way to clean it ...enough said. I then bought this product, for the price of this device it should have cleaned a lot better. I smoke in a small home. When I ran this device on high for three weeks it kinda stopped cleaning the air. It says the filter system doesnt need cleaned for 3 months. I know these devices needed to be kept clean in the beginning in a dirty enviroment... so i ceaned it three times in three weeks. I would wash the fileters as recommended. I then would filter the water through a paper towel using a funnel. I never got more then a smudge of dirt on the paper towel. I then read some reviews of reliable sources about hneywells IFD filter system. It said it needed regular cleaning. I did keep it clean It also sai not to use really hot water, I didnt. Now if I have build up of pollutions in a device such as this and am limited to luke warm water to clean it. Well the factor is the Ifd system for honey well is limited and in my smoking enviroment it lacked greatly. I then bought a Ionic Pro Turbo, now remember I had already run a months worth of devices to clean the air. In 24 hours I had to clean the Ionic Pro Turbo 2 times. I woke this morning with clean air. When i cleaned the Ionic Pro Turbo bot times i cIuld actualy see the build up, both on the device and really on the papaer towels I used. Build up so bad it was like tar and black gummy. So after a months time of other devices running 24/7 the Ionic Pro Turbo does what it says it will do. The Ionitc Pro Turbo was a few buck's cheaper then the Honeywell device as well! The Ionic Pro Turbo does the same thing and claims the same thing as Honeywell. As in it will kill germs ectra. It doesnt boast about being 10x cleaner, it proved it! No I would not recommend this for the price. It is to high in price to fall so short of the intended goal. The only reason I gave this 3 stars in Quality is because of the sturdy build. Thank You

I had this item for about a month, then a rattling occurred. I cleaned the filters are instructed and there was really no dirt. I think it's just blows air, didn't really clean, there was still the same amount if dust in the room. Do not buy this product. I switched it out for the IONIC PRO TURBO AIR PURIFIER, it cost a little more, but it's a much better product. There isn't as much dust anymore.

Like other reviewers stated, after a while became a bit noisy. I took it apart to see what was causing the rattle. Didn't help. Really doesn't filter much from the air. Super disappointed! Buy another brand. Had a fan of theirs too, quit after a year? Honeywell is cheaply made and over priced.

It seems that you have to shout to your family members just to have a conversation. A waste of my money because I dont even use it anymore. My husband is so upset with it because its so loud, we try to take it apart to fix the noise but it did not work and my husband a technician. DONT BUY THIS CR*P

Disappointed with this air purifier. Would not recommend.
