I really like the extra water capacity so you can make it through the night without refilling the humidifier. It has a UV treatment technology that kills germs and treats water, but does not replace the filter. Had you not had to buy replacement filters for this thing and I would have 5-star rated it, but having that said...overall, it does a good gob for what it is.

We had several weeks of ongoing dry skin, dry mouth and itchiness. Thankfully, Honeywell came to the rescue. I would recommend the 3 gallon because the water tank lasts for 2 days and on the constant setting. There is a small amount of light that is emitted, but can be easily covered with dark tape - a heads up to those who like dark bedrooms. Also, the noise from the humidifier is similar to an air conditioner - a heads up to those who like quiet bedrooms.

Overall happy with purchase. Keeps room nice and humid. I like that it has a small footprint but I wish makers of humidifiers would consider the ease of filling these containers. They are always awkward and slippery. This is a replacement for one that cracked when i dropped it while filling and they no longer make the reservoir.

The Honeywell humidifier is doing a fantastic job keeping the heated air in my home breathable and keeping the static electricity to a minimum. Moreover, the appliance fits right in with my decor.

While this unit is much Quieter than my previous Humidifier, it is still pretty loud as far as trying to sleep with it on.

Our second one and it works great just like the first one. Not sure why people complain about the noise level, it's a fan with 3 speeds. Great for sleeping with the fan on low and generates the perfect humidity. Our new model has the LED control indicator lights which are a little too bright at night in the bedroom, but easily solved with a little black tape.

Simple to use, easy to refill, attractive looking (for a humidifier anyway). Really making a difference in my large-size family room living area this winter. Refill it 1x or 2x a day, super easy to use. Really like the UV/germ-free features, unit stays clean. Will have to remember to purchase a couple new filters to use next season, they last about 2-3 months each.

We purchased this for son and to help sleep easier with during the winter. Unfortunately it kind of falls short. I had a few issues with this so far. 1. The filter turns yellow and smells. After about a couple weeks of regular use, the filter harden and turns dark yellow. And the air passes through the filter and carries it's smell with it. 2. The filter is pricey and difficult to find. Not everyone carries the filter and I could only find the filter online. 3. It's loud. Sometimes the humidifier/purifier will sound like it's plugged or something. Be extremely loud. 4. There is a humidity setting, and the purifier will not run if the humidity is set in the area it's in. You'd have to turn it off and turn it back on if you want the purifier to run constantly. Otherwise, you have to wait until the humidity comes back down so the whole unit will turn back on. It's annoying.

We appreciate your time reviewing our humidifier. We are dedicated to providing quality products. Discoloration on your filter is normal due to the minerals within your water. We recommend to remove the filter when the unit is not in use and soak the filter in cool water prior to use to help break up the mineral deposits. For assistance with your unit, please contact us by emailing [email protected]. Thank you. HoneywellSupportTechnician

    Humidifies well...however poor design

When removed from base to clean, tank is awkward to handle, and not square on ends, so won't stand, making cleaning difficult (must set on side). Tank is heavy when filled. Humidifier fan is NOISY, even on lowest setting, and too loud for confined sleeping areas/light sleepers. Humidity output is at bottom front of unit, directing humidified (heavier) air at floor vs into room. (As the unit is tall & narrow, it's not very safe or attractive to set on a table.) On the positive side, it does humidify a 320sf room adequately, and the sensor is fairly accurate. It doesn't leave a white dust residue like the ultrasonic humidifier it replaces.

I purchased this item for the winter while the wood stove is burning. At first it worked fine then out of nowhere it started making this screaming squelching noise. It was so annoying that we returned and exchanged it for another. So far (two weeks) the second one has been working as it should, quietly.
